The calculator is rarely accurate as peoples bodies are different and the way they count calories are different. Just eat a lot (whilst tracking) and adjust your goal manually depending on how fast you gain. Good luck with your kids!

Walking is easily the best thing anyone can do for good health. Intense cardio/weightlifting is good but doesn't heal your joints and calm your mind like simply going for a walk. Best of luck!

As long as your calories are right, you're getting enough protein, micronutrients, fiber etc and these fats aren't coming from lots of 'bad' sources then you're fine in my opinion
