Hi, just found this group so I'm getting a late start. I'm Kari, recently turned 40. I started 30 day shred last fall and was just about 20 days in when I got sick and gave up. I had to start an allergy elimination diet a couple months ago and the restrictions ( no dairy, grain, sugar, soy, nuts, eggs, etc) helped me lose…

I vitamin D deficient and recently started taking 5,000 iu daily. Even with that much my doc said it may be hard to get up to sufficient level(haven't retested yet) as they usually end up having people take 50,000 iu per week. Depending on how low you are, it may not be possible to get it up with vitamin rich foods alone,…

The difference in how that dress fits is amazing! I would have guessed you're down closer to 50 lbs!

Worth it!

Did twenty days with great results, then got derailed for about a month. Starting over. Level 1, day 1 done today.

I let two weeks of illness turn into two more weeks of no exercise and lazy eating. Just that quickly--I was up five lbs and feeling like a slug. Today my victory is having my first day back on track.

Well, thanks to being sick all week, I now only have 4 lbs to go to get out of obese bmi range!
-
I found by day 3 or 4 it started getting much easier to keep up, though was still working up a sweat.

What is parkrun?

I made it through 20 days (levels 1 and 2) but then got sick. I'm hoping to restart at level three in a couple more days but if it's too tough after the break I may start level 2 over again first instead. So bummed, I was on track to be done by Oct 12 and will now be hard pressed to finish before I have work travel planned…
-
Great job! I'm hoping to see about the same, ten days to go for me. You will do shred again straight away? I've been wondering if I'll do the same or try something new next.

Had first acquaintance comment on loss yesterday. It's only been ten lbs so far but the fact that someone noticed feels amazing!

I just finished level 2 today and have been really loving it. When I first started each level it was soooo hard, but it gets easier in just a few days. @scubakat67 the beginning of level 2 was a little tough on my knees because of more squats and lunges, but a rest day and then form adjustment, and I was fine.
-
Finished level 2 today. Will take measurements tomorrow but already feeling much tighter all over.

Eating Well magazine. I subscribed years ago and it changed the way I eat. (Now I just need to change the amount I eat.

I have a day full of work meetings, which means lots of sitting and unhealthy catered food. I not only couldn't finish my lunch/didn't even want to, but much more out of character: on a break I went into the empty ladies bathroom and started doing squats because I can't stand my muscles being still all day in a chair!…

I'm not logging right now. When u do I tend to get obsessed with it and if I miss a day or get behind I give up. I am restricting my diet some though, would guess maybe around 1400-1600 calories based on past experience.

I'm exactly the same as you! Level 2, day 3 today. Taking 2-3 rest days for each level. Yay us!
