@canadjineh Shame you can't get the Sleemans any more. Once I got looking into the carbs it's nearly all that I drink now. Occasionally I still drop into a craft brewery and indulge. B)

Excellent job

I'm in Ontario around Oshawa and usually I can find "Baken-ets" which are made by Frito Lay. The only ingredients are pork rinds, lard, and salt. I can usually find them in Freshco or No Frills.

In Ontario we have Sleemans beer. They make one called "Clear 2.0" which has 2.0 carbs per bottle. And it tastes pretty good. Has 4.0% alcohol and 80 calories. Still, if you drink 5 in one evening, that's 400 calories . Have to watch them too

Peel, remove the seeds, cut into chunks and boil until tender. Mash it up and serve with butter, salt and pepper. Grated cheese if you like....

Sometimes when I get a big zucchini, I peel it, remove the seeds, chop it up and boil it. Mashed zucchini. Served with butter salt and pepper.

Large butter fried portobello mushroom cap. Turned gills up. Poached egg on top. Three bacon slices. Melted butter mixed with Sriracha sauce poured on top. Low Carb Eggs Benedict.
-
The bag of ju-jubes had my name all over it. Shouldn't shop when I'm hungry. Make bad choices.
-
New baby potatoes. At least I smothered them in butter, salt and pepper, to increase the fat and equalize my electrolytes. Probably didn't need the second helping.

Like quitting smoking or alcoholism. You can never cheat on either of those. Eating is much harder because you can't quit completely. It's like trying to have just one cigarette each day.
-
If you are not sitting or sleeping then you ARE burning up some calories. Even then you will burn a few breathing and pumping blood. I track my steps all day. Burns up about 250 or more every day without sweating in a gym.

Try not to think that the politicians care about anything other than retirement with a huge pension, and any under the table perks they can stash away. We are simply wallets. The last thing on their minds is healthy eating.

SW 244 CW 233 GW 180ISH Not progressing at all. Sigh....

Trouble is that during the summer an ice cold beer is the nectar of the gods.
-
I've switched back to plain vodka, club soda, and a lime wedge squeezed into it. Low carb. Low cal.
-
Mushroom. Swiss cheese. spinach. chopped sausage. butter. stir and eat.
-
I used beef broth and it was delicious that way too.
-
I found it to be delicious. Everything is better with bacon. Lol
-
I sometimes wish chickens were like onions. Peel off one layer of delicious crispy chicken skin, And find another layer!!!! :p
-
So for a new twist on Bulletproof Coffee. Cooked my bacon. Stored the grease in the fridge. Next morning I put some in my drip coffee maker. Bacon flavoured coffee.
-
And sadly there is no such thing as beer zero.
-
I keep hoping for "beer zero". Even though I know it's impossible due to the nature of alcohol. I always find it amazing how they make every beer taste just like "another one". :(

59 year old man SW 244 CW 232 GW 180ish Trying to lose weight forever. Quit smoking 9 years ago and gained 50. LCHF for a year. The only way I lose is skipping breakfast and staying under 1500 cal per day. Very tough since the GF loves her starches.

I just wanted everyone to get into the habit of scanning the codes. Plain vodka comes back with zero carbs. Flavoured versions have carby things added. :s
-
It is surprising....
-
Lime flavoured.
-
Going to the cottage this weekend to eat fresh caught bass. Not many carbs there. ;)
-
Just goes to show they'll try to market anything as bacon. Chicken bacon. Turkey bacon. Ham bacon. Beef bacon. What's next? Salmon bacon? Bacon is pork belly. Only. Nothing else. And everything is better with bacon! Even beef bacon. Lol

What I hate is how many carbs seem to be in everything. Every meal in any restaurant has enough carbs for a week. A handful of chip has hundreds. An order of fries has thousands. Arrrggghhhh. (Rant for the day. )
