Thanks. But I am baffled. I entered a 12oz sauteed zucchini into MFP and got: 73 cal. 12.1 gr protein 0.0 fat 36.4 gr carbs 0.0 fiber 24.3 gr. Sugar Just wondering where you got your numbers

WOW! How are you eating this much fat. I'm trying to lose weight at 1500 cal per day. I have a very hard time even reaching 100 gr of fat. I eat more meat than anything else. Skip breakfast. Still don't lose weight. Have arthritic knees so exercise is difficult.

Zucchini surprised me. I sautéed up a 12 ounce serving. Ate it all up and noticed my carbs were through the roof. Nearly 40 grams! And squash was always one of my favorite vegetables. I see people using zucchini instead of pasta, but now I question that idea too.

Guess I missed something. I only looked at yesterday's diary and saw 2 sweet potatoes baked with skin. Just those 2 items are more carbs than I eat in 3-4 days. Poor connection today so I didn't look back further.

I've tried for years with poor results. A combination of hflc, with 16/8 intermittent fasting every day turned the trick. Even just hflc wasn't enough. Down 9 pounds in 3 weeks since I started IF. I still eat 1500-1800 calories per day, but the IF seems to be the difference. Male, 60, 5',9" , was 239, now 230.

Salo has some thin rind on it, but is cured in salt. I'm eating it raw, but some people fry it. Much more like salt pork but it is only the fat taken from the pigs back.

For years I ate a good bacon and egg breakfast at 5am when I got up for work. I was always starving by 11. Now I do IF from 8pm until 11am lunch. ( Losing weight) I find I am not hungry at 5, but still starving by 11. Since I'm losing a tiny bit of weight I'll keep it up.

Quit smoking 9 years ago. Gained 50 pounds. Never lost it. Male 60 @ 238 pounds. Now I have high BP, and arthritic knees. Always short of breath. Every doctor I see tells me to lose 60 pounds. Wish it was that easy....

Another good tip. I usually stay away from caffeine after 9am and sip beef broth instead. It's salty and comfort food all in one.

I have such a hard time with the carbs. Girlfriend loves her pasta. One mouthful and I'm over my carb limit for the day. Some things fool you. Ate a 12 inch sautéed zucchini the other day and it had lots of carbs in it. Didn't see that one coming.... lol Keep trying.

I like Dills and olives. Even use the juice in recipes a lot. Sometimes I just take a sip. Delicious....
