I didn't quote the post, but you said the trainer was "working you up to free weights"??? You absolutely need another trainer. Furthermore, you should ask said trainer if they intend to START on free weight doing compound movements, if not keep looking. Or even better, go buy the book "new rules of lifting for women" and…

I don't know anything about your health, so this is assuming you have no health issues. If you are in fact losing body fat and replacing it with lean muscle at that rate, anyone who would change your diet would be insane. Keep doing what you are doing.

No, I seldom weigh anything even at home anymore. I used to weigh everything, now I can eyeball and be pretty close....close enough for me. I would not be offended if someone wanted to weigh food at my house, I was more or less obsessed once, earlier on, so I get it. I think weighing and measuring is the perfect tool to…

This is spot on and I don't think a number of people grasp this or they don't believe it. That is exactly what I mean about pizza, if I tried to cut it out completely, I would obsess. Instead, I plan for pizza.
-
I quote this only to point out how different we all respond to different foods. I have a small serving of Ice cream every night, no problems at all. But pizza?????fuggetaboutit........
-
I generally eat whatever I want with just a very few exceptions. Pizza being one of those, I never have pizza on the spur of the moment. I still have it occasionally, I just plan it ahead of time what, and how much I am going to eat.

My simple advice is, eat the foods you love, in moderation. Restrictive diets and removing entire food groups will generally lead to failure. As the above poster said, log ALL your food and drink accurately using a food scale, measuring cups and accurate database entries. Make sure you set realistic goals. It makes no…

It sounds like dairy could be a super weapon.

Intermittent fasting is fine if you like it and it works for you. As an aside, 950 calories per day isn't healthy to do everyday, at least generally speaking.
-
My advice, stock up on gifts for the people you love, you will need them to make up. You will probably be hard to be around. Very steep goal, but good luck.

ditto

Ha, I ate1700 over today. I knew I would. No big deal. Back at it tomorrow. Probably cut 250 calorie a day for a few days to make up for it. No harm, no foul.

Why does everyone continue to feed this troll? The best way to deal with a troll is to ignore them.

If you weigh all a your food with a scale, measure all your liquids with measuring cups/spoons and accurately calculate your calorie burns from exercise, you will lose.
-
It's probably more, you burn calories just being alive. Overly simplistic, but BMR is what you would burn if you laid in bed and did nothing all day. Everything you do above that adds to the number. There are online calculators to get your TDEE. At least get you close. Scoobys is one and fat2fitradio is another.

What I did was make incremental changes to my regular diet and started to do a little exercise. Walking at first, then running then weight lifting. Took a while and I had to get to the place mentally that it was a permanent change in how I lived and not a diet. Start by going for a walk every day perhaps. Make just one…

Im sorry you are having a bad day. I understand how frustrating it can be to gain weight that you had previously lost....been there, done that. I am a guy and we tend to deal with these kinds of issues different, with that said, just start! You can do this, you have done it before, right? Love yourself, do it for you…

Almost ever fast food joint has a grilled chicken sandwich. A 6" coldcut on wheat and baked chips at subway is less than 600 calories. Although this isn't the best, it can work.

Go to a store that specializes in running shoes and get a real fitting and get good shoes, no off the rack shoes and The Shoe Barn. C25K is a really great place to start. If you do the C25K program, remember this, it is better to run at a pace that you can run the entire time you are supposed to. I help with the local…

If you haven't run before, or its been a long time, I would recommend doing the program as designed and not run in between. Once you have built up some miles per week, running more often or more miles will be easier on the body, in my opinion.

My answer to any naysayer is simply, "its pizza, with bacon". I mean, whats not to get?
-
Yeah, I know its anecdotal, but I lost @ 4 pounds through the first three weeks of January and as of yesterday, roughly two weeks, I had lost .4. I had begun training for a half marathon and about then the mileage really ramped up. If you are doing it right, the scale will start to move again. Keep the faith.

Well done!!

Yeah, Im gonna post something on the internet and be mad cause its on the internet???

I generally don't respond at all to derp. Let them think what they want.

Do your best to give it an honest eyeball, then enjoy your dinner with your husband. One meal won't derail you, and it really won't if you eat a moderate amount of whatever you like. I would caution you to take your husband serious when he says you are no fun. When I began to lose weight, I went total flake and after a…

Set a goal. Log your intake very accurately. Measure your exercise as accurately as possible. Stick to it. Win.

Why yes, yes I am B)

I plugged your numbers into a calculator and I get a TDEE of @ 1700 sedentary. Lightly active, being on your feet 11 hours would certainly qualify for that, is @ 1900

Hey, That's pretty good!
