Total calorie burn?

I use a pedometer to track my steps and it also gives me the calories I burn through the day. By the end of the day, I do anywhere from 300-400 calories burned and 10,000-11,000 steps.
My BMR is about 1450. Would that mean that my total calorie burn for the day is at most 1850? Or am I burning more somehow?

It's probably more, you burn calories just being alive. Overly simplistic, but BMR is what you would burn if you laid in bed and did nothing all day. Everything you do above that adds to the number. There are online calculators to get your TDEE. At least get you close. Scoobys is one and fat2fitradio is another.0

if BMR is 1450 then sedentary activity would have you burning +20% on that = 1740 calories then 300+ from your steps taking you over 2000.0
