Believe me, I fully empathize. (especially with "the middle of nowhere") You can do it! Again, FOR ME, the pattern of "overeating today because I failed yesterday in hopes of doing better tomorrow" worked out about as well as it looks written down. At some point you make a choice, motivated or not. I am pretty motivated…

I have been there, ma'am. Not so far with OMAD, but when I was just doing the calorie counting. Don't get me wrong; I have not been the pinnacle of steadfastness here either, but it has been waaay better. As for encouragement:* You did not gain * You did not gain * You now know that this way actually does work if you focus…

Hi as well! I second the exercise-light plan, it is easier to stick with the plan if you don't suddenly demand a whole bunch of energy from your body for exercise when it is already reeling from reduced intake. Disclaimer: I am exercising. Running and calisthenics. I realize I sound a bit hypocritical telling you it is a…

Great job! I look forward to seeing your progress. Like AS says, when you hit the fat, losses really start to count. A couple of pounds of true fat is a lot of loss. Keep it up!

ADDER: I would sure appreciate seeing some more individual progress threads from you all! It might help me feel like less of an attention ***** to see some of you with a regularly updated thread. Plus, it would give others a better idea of how this works.

Welcome Jo and Karie! Jo, I would suggest you check and see how many calories you can (do) fit on a plate and compare that to your recommended daily intake. A ten inch plate can hit 1500-1800 calories pretty easy with enough butter and cheese. . . Trust me, I know. Not saying you need to count calories all of the time, but…

Fantastic! I am wearing a shirt that has been a bit too snug to be considered appropriate.

Any updates? Hope you all are well!

Sometimes, I really wish I had my meal in the morning, 'cuz I can feel full all day that way. If your lifestyle allows that, then try it! We like to have a family suppertime, and so I have my meal in the evening. I may try to switch for August. Try it for a week and see!

There is the likely cause.

Welcome to OMAD Michelle!

Excellent!

Welcome!

Welcome! PLEASE keep posting as you go! Start a thread to note your progress. This style of eating has a LOT of detractors in the regular forums (as well as real life), and it is difficult to get useful advice on anything else once you are pegged as an "unhealthy, binge-eating, no-self-control" OMADer. . . .

Big guy. Do you have any current comparison videos?

I have been a mostly tea drinker for a year or so now, due to the deleterious effects coffee was having on my esophagus.

That is entirely up to you. Practically, if you want the exercise to help with weight loss via additional caloric deficit, no. If you are using exercise to become stronger, then it is generally counter-productive to NOT eat them back. Look, I have done it both ways and here's the reality: you have to find something you are…
