I feel you! That's totally inappropriate from a complete stranger. I remember the first time I went to my gym, I met a friend of a friend in the locker room before class. I don't remember the exact conversation but I made a comment about hopefully losing some weight and she informed me that I would also need to eat better.…

Boy, can I relate to this! In 2020 I got to the lowest weight I've been in over 25 years. Still a very long way from a healthy weight, but I was around 90 pounds lost from my heaviest. There was a HUGE swing in how I felt about myself. The whole time I was losing, my self-confidence kept growing. I felt so much better…

It's always funny how many people do that AFTER you have had success doing it your way.

This is exactly what I do, and then I start over at zero the next week. You have to do a bit of math to figure out your actual bank or deficit for the week, but I find the screen very useful. Welcome, and good luck!

Oh, this makes me sad! I'm so sorry you lost your BFF over your success, when she should have just been happy for you. I have definitely been in that place where a friend's weight loss success annoyed me, but I knew it was because I was jealous and I never looked at it as them doing something TO me. You achieved an amazing…

I come read this thread every time I want inspiration; I'm glad it's still alive (edited: I guess it's barely alive - I just realized the last post was from a few months ago). This summer my goal is to declutter my storage and laundry rooms (and hopefully move on to other areas, too). I got some new shelves to replace old…

Not sure if I hate mountain climbers or bear crawls more. But I agree with the previous poster who said it's because they are hard for me. I'm still morbidly obese and I carry a ton of weight in my butt and low belly, and at my weight it takes a massive amount of core strength to do these properly.

This is genius. I never regret a workout AFTER I do it, so once I'm doing it I wouldn't quit. Not to mention I do group classes, so there's no way I would walk out once I'm already there. :D Not sure I can add any new insight for the original poster, but feeling motivated comes and goes, so I agree with others that it…

It has been ages since I've felt like I have had any NSVs; I've spent about 1.5 years on a slow gaining streak, where I stopped tracking and really didn't try much. As of today I have tracked a full week and a day. A couple of times I had to go back and try to remember part of the previous day, but I did it and that's the…

A friend of mine who has kids was recently telling me that they had gotten in the habit of eating out a lot, and so she started making a list of meals that they can make at home and leaving it on the fridge. She incorporates some weekly planning, so it includes specific things that she shops for that week, but it also…

I've been on a slow backward slide for around 4 months. This week something clicked, I guess. I have done well for 4 consecutive days in a row, and for the first time in months I feel in control and a little bit motivated.

I'm months late to this thread, but I just want to reiterate a couple of my favorites from the first few pages: 1) Don't eat white foods - white bread and white potatoes are two of my favorite things and you will have to pry them from my cold dead hands before I voluntarily give them up. 2) People who eat breakfast lose…

Depending on your starting weight, 50lb might be where people start noticing (that's about how much it took for people to see it on me). But I bet some people HAVE noticed and just haven't said anything.

@conniewilkins56 You're amazing and inspiring! You have made such a change in just two years.

This is way funnier because it says "victorious".

I can totally understand this. No matter the motivation of the person asking, weight is INCREDIBLY personal and it's nobody else's business if you don't want to share it. It's crazy that this is something you get commonly.

I keep telling myself I prefer high calorie burn for now but my goodness, all of you overly bulky ;) ladies are making me consider weightlifting...

DUDE. Congratulations...that is a tremendous accomplishment!!

@cyaneverfat I'm not sure if this is quite what you were thinking of, but I enjoy following this thread: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10735982/things-people-say-when-you-lose-weight#latest
