Do you know you actually need energy to sleep? I suffer from ME/CFS and my doctor told me this is the reason people who suffer this must not overdo things. You have to find your "wall" and not go beyond it. Insomnia is a very strange thing and can be brought on by many things including excess excersize, stress, worry etc.…

Any meats (try to avoid sausage and processed ones), fish, eggs, cheese, cream, butter, olive oil, most vegetables grown above the ground, a tiny amount of root vegetables, nuts and a little fruit like berrys. I love alpro plain yogurt with berrys for breakfast or scrambled eggs done in butter... Avoid bread, pasta,…

The way I read the research is that we need fibre in our guts so we can keep foods in long enough to absorb the vitamins and minerals from them, apart from the fact it aids the transition of foods through our body. If we take in enough fibre from vegetables rather then grains we would not need to take extra vitamins in…

Along with supplements is…

I began a low carb diet several months ago now, and within 6 weeks had a loss of almost a stone. I'm 5'4 and initially started at 148lb... I can not exercise as I have ME/CFS and my calculations said at a sedentary lifestyle my body will need just over 1200 calories a day (can't remember exact figure) ... I read I need a…

I will say though that I did manage a walk last weekend and for the first time in years, I didn't get joint pain. ... Tiredness is still a problem and doesn't seem different but I feel far less bloated so mood is good :-) ... All in all I do feel better.

Hi. Thanks for all your replies. I guess you are all saying what I was thinking really as the calorie count does seem low. I did one of those calculations and did it as a sedentary person as I only get out once in a while. All those were saying my level of maintainance was between 1400-1500 a day so if I take the 500 off…
