  • I can't fit it in either. I focus on 48, the low end of the requirement. Some days I can get the extra in, but most days just aren't long enough!
  • Water! I'm averaging 4-6 need 6-8! Move. Since surgery (3w) I've been mostly sedentary (complications). I need to up my step count to 5-7k every day regardless of taking a walk or not. Continue following the plan and trusting the process!
  • Good luck! I was the same way. I'm 3 weeks post today and finally feeling better. This is a wonderfully supportive group.
  • Love the lemon tea, pawoodhull. Currently trying to choke down a crystal sky. Not a fan. Bought a bunch of individual packets. Cappuccino is up next. Perhaps when I dump this one out!
  • Holy moly Jan! Look at the difference. That is amazing. This is my inspiration for the day. Way to go!

  • I was sleeved 7/13. Happy to be anyone's friend. we're all in this together!
  • Thanks! Naturally my surgeon is on vacation this week. Saw a different guy. Not infected. He told me Tylenol and warm compresses. In other news, still no pills. Any tips for getting crushed pills down? The liquid makes me vomit. *this is temporary. It will be worth it in the end. This is temporary. It will be worth it...*
  • Hi Autumn1031, First off, welcome. Like penny above, I'm only a week and a half post op, but I felt the need to reply because I could have written your post. I've had PF for years and was in the midst of a 2 year flare up when I started this journey. I could barely walk more than a few feet. Agonizing. I too gained a ton.…
  • I second Nashua nutrition! They are great in person and online. They offer samples of most everything and if not, they will take back anything you don't like. I have found I don't like the majority of shakes, but I really like the syntax iced tea. I was in there the other day and got a box of liquid orange concentrate. It…
  • Jill- our numbers are just about identical. Dr. Told me about 220 as well. My personal dream goal is 183; half my starting weight! Though I'll take anything under 200.
  • I have a garmin vivosmart. Over all I like it a lot. The app has some definite glitches, but it's waterproof, has a bunch of settings and neat features. I wear it as my watch, but haven't used it in a gym type setting.
  • This is so what I needed to hear! Thank you! Rob, the part about your daughter made me cry. Such a fear! I know I'll be fine, I've had plenty of surgeries before, just, ugh, kinda hits you in the chest. Thanks for posting your fears pennystead! I guess we're normal!
  • Me too!!! I'm scheduled for Monday. Had my pre op today. Just stressed out and overwhelmed! Add to it that I'm at a conference for the next couple days and I'm a mess. My husband and I were talking today and he started the 'are you sure you want to do this' bug. Not unsupportive, just realizing the change. I've been in…
  • Thank you all so much!! It's great to hear stories of success. Pre op diet starts Monday, and away we go! Thanks for calming some of my fears. Any other tips, tricks or words of advice? :)
  • Hey there, I'm a northerner, but I'm with you! I have a 2.5 yo and a 14 mo. I've been using mfp for a couple months. I too have a LONG way to go (like 140lbs) Was down 43. Had a bad (sick and stressed) week and I gained 8!!! Just came in from a walk and I'm determined to turn this around! Best of luck and feel free to add!
  • Feel free to add me! I'm meeting with the surgeon 6/24, then hoping for a date in July so I can recover during summer vacation before going back to work (teacher) in the fall.
  • This is an old post, but I was searching for info on it as well. This 'fad' has worked for me. It had enough structure so I knew what to do. It also lowered all my numbers. His book also talks about the mental part, which is so often neglected. While I certainly don't subscribe to all of his theories, or follow it to the…
