I've had the edamame kind! It was great!

Hello from Ann Arbor! MFP is such a great tool, hope you like it so far. :)
-
Sent you a request. :) I'm a busy mom, too.

I have a FitBit One. I chose it because I don't like to wear anything on my wrists, but I've heard great things about the Charge, Surge, etc. I love my fitbit, I find it very accurate and motivating!

Whenever I need to reach out for motivation, thinking of my kids always, always does it for me. I want to be a good example of health and moderation for them.

Me, too.... almost always a giant salad with tons of protein. It's my biggest meal of the day, otherwise I'm snacking all afternoon.

It's so funny, I love honey but it had never occurred to me, either, until I went out to a fancy brunch in NYC. I had honey oatmeal and I never got over that meal, haha. I make the oats plain in the microwave with skim milk, then stir in the honey before letting it cool (and as I said, I do a little pb, too). It's…

My favorite is oatmeal with 1/2 a tablespoon each of peanut butter and honey. So, so good.

I have two kiddos - ages 3 and 5 - my husband travels frequently for work. He's gone about half the month. :-/ So it can be rough! Just know you're not alone. Feel free to add me for support, anyone!

4'11" here! I lost over 60 pounds (the baby weight from both my babies - didn't lose any in between, woops) before I started counting calories. As we all know, when you're short and get close to goal weight, every calorie matters, so MFP has been super helpful for me to get to where I am. I have lost 11 more pounds with…

That sounds good, thanks for sharing. :) You should look into 'mug cake recipes' if you haven't yet, or other recipes for just an individual serving of something, just one cookie, etc. Pinterest is great for that.

I know, why is it cake of all things?? I was totally cake-bullied about a month ago. They shamed the hell out of me for saying no, it was like those old after school specials about drugs with the peer pressure. Insane!

Good for you!! I'm with you. I think the only time I've ever eaten one cookie was maybe a huge one the size of a small plate, haha. Great job on the willpower, keep it up. :)

"Fit shaming," haha - somehow I hadn't heard that term yet, but it's perfect. I've experienced this, too. I don't have much more to say that other posters haven't yet, just know you're not alone. :)

Yessss.

I would say salt. I have NEVER hit my sodium goal on MFP, haha, I am always over. I have cut way, way back on my use of table salt, though, so....baby steps. ;)

Yep.

Lots of good advice for you in this thread. Just being aware of the issue at hand is important, and you seem to know what you need to do to succeed! I know how it feels to have people around who just 'don't get it' - I have been somewhat bullied by friends and accused of having an eating disorder because I turned down cake…

They really do haha, what's the sauce like?

Have you tried the Thai Crunch Salad there? It has shrimp and really good dressing - the whole thing is only 390 calories.

Dark chocolate kitkats - I'm not sure these are "gone" but they are hard to find!

Eggs eggs eggs, Greek yogurt, eggs, cheese, more eggs. ;)

I may be in the minority. I weigh once a month, maaaybe twice. I find the normal, day-to-day fluctuation too annoying and when I was losing, it would affect me too much to have what I thought was a great few days, only to have the scale show a half pound gain or something. It was hard to break the habit of weighing often,…

Oatmeal with skim milk and turkey bacon for me. :)
-
This exactly - maintenance is much trickier than losing (at least in this way) and counting makes all the difference.
-
Me, too, anyone can add me. :)
-
I second the idea of breakfast, for sure.

The only way the pork should matter is if you're not weighing it/not properly figuring its calories. As far as your weight creeping up, start by making sure your calories are all entirely accurate - weigh/measure everything! - and go from there in terms of finding the sweet spot between losing and gaining. Spend enough…

Check Pinterest, there are tons of pins just like those magazine articles. Just search strength workouts, or any area-specific workouts. Good luck. :)
