Funny how proteine amounts can vary. In the Netherlands we say 1 to 1.5 gram per kilo body weight. Not per pound.

Oh thanks Samantha. That would be lovely. Those last 2 kg are really braking me up and with hubby working abroad my support is gone. I'm trying to get rid of those last 2 for half a year now. I'm yoyoing big time. Lowest was 66.9 somewhere last year june. With christmas it was 67.4 kg. I gained 1 kg over christmas up to…

Oh. I would love to join, but 5 pounds is not feasable for me. I'm only that from my goal weight and if i lose 2 pounds per month I'm over the moon. Good luck all of you.

I'm 57 and a nice hourglass figure with 41"-31"-41". SW 78.8 kg CW 67.2kg GW 66.5 kg To me the way i feel and think about myself is more important than the scales. When i look in the mirror i see a lovely good proportioned figure. Those last few ounces are really not important anymore. If i never lose them, thats fine too.

....
..and it's important to remember the most important animal to protect YOU....
Mmmm. My horses, cats, dogs and chickens are more important than me. Even better. ALL other animals are better than the homo sapiens.

That's what i thought too. What's there to lose? Perfect weight if you ask me.

I eat what i like as long as it fits in my cals. I'm vegan on 1200 cals which suits me fine and even within this 1200, i have room for chocolate, pizza etc. I think you shouldn't see your journey as a diet. That will never work in the long term. If you see it as a lifestyle change, a treat will fit in without you feeling…

I'm 2kg from goal weight ( 57 year old female, 1.65 m, goal weight 65.8kg) and am since january between 66.8 and 67.8 no matter what i eat. Deficit or not. I think that maybe this is my bodies way of telling me this is ok. And i feel great. It took me two years to lose 12kg, being somebody who can survive easily on eating…

My sister knows i want to loose weight so she weights everything she prepares for me. So do what you feel comfortable with. Real friends wouldn't be offended. On the contrary....they would support you.

Natural yeast is another good source of proteine. Make sure you get the cheesy/ nutty flavour one. You can sprinkle it over your meals and put it in sauces. I wouldn't use it in porridge though.☺

I plan a week ahead food and exercise to make sure i get to my cals.Do my shopping and that's it ☺

Grains beans broccoli nuts

Dear psulemon. Thanks for the advice. Being vegan I indeed add nuts to get me over the 1200 cals.
-
I'm on 1200 cals and have to plan ahead every week to make sure i get that at least. I fill in my 3 meals and a snack and still are sometimes under the 1200. After 25 years of dieting because i always thought i was too heavy ( 74 kg at the heaviest), my body has become used to low cal intake. I'm not hungry that's my…

I'm part of that standing ovation :-)

Ok, Going to get slashed probably, but log everything you do eat. YOU MIGHT EAT NOT ENOUGH!!!!!! It's not as easy as "you're overweight, so you eat to much". If it was that easy everybody would be slim. You might not get the right amount of nutrients and carbs/protein combination. If you don't fuel your body, it will go…

One thing I agree with him. It's not standard that everybody who is overweight eats too many cals, and doesn't do enough exercise. If it was that simple, everybody would be slim :-)

I was vegetarian for a long time and a couple of years ago I switched to vegan. I always say: If you can't look a non human animal in the eye and say out loud "I'm going to kill you now", and do it, you should not eat it. Being vegan is easier than people think. It's just a matter of bringing a great variety in your food.…

Being vegan, I'm more the nutrients type, although I keep an eye on my macro's.

Since two months a weigh daily in the morning after having been on the treadmill for half an hour, and log it. I use to weigh myself ones a week but that was very discouraging ☺. This way i see a pattern and can act straight away.
-
Just start weighing everything you eat and log it, and also log your exercises. The system gives you the daily calories you can eat. Don't eat to few and think with eating less cals, and sport like mad, you loose weight. Your body goes in survival mode and you won't loose, and might even gain. Your body is like a car. It…

Rabbittjb gave already some great tips. You could also try to split the 1500 cals into more smaller portions. And drink water when you feel hungry. Your body might not crave for food but for fluid. Good luck.

I don't think this is what she is looking for. Being vegan or not is a personal choice and all eating preferences do have their pros and cons. If this is all you have to bring to the discussion, I think you should not post. I thought that this website is to encourage people. Thanks.
