I appreciate the clarification everyone, thanks!!

Thanks, I agree! Sometimes when you want results really badly it's more difficult to listen to your body when it needs a rest. Sounds like you have a great schedule down!

My diary is open if you're willing to take a look at my week so far. I use a FitBit Charge HR to calculate calories burned but I never eat them back.

That makes sense, thank you!

Thanks. I'm doing pretty good with my macros and staying within my caloric limits. Right now this program is pretty hard to get through without any modifications. I plan to increase difficulty when appropriate.

This is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWy_aOlB45Y&list=PLLomHxiAsnAs9or7xpuii-j4Pd1loGuA6 The goal is to build strength, increase my metabolism and burn fat. I'd like to do this program or a version of it every day to achieve those goals but also yes to keep in the habit of working out every day.

Today I am grateful for my sore muscles. It means I worked out hard yesterday, and makes me feel like even if I haven't been seeing the number on the scale move much, my body and my mind are still making progress.

This. was. amazing. I made it for my husband and parents, and they ALL said they liked it better than the original, full calorie, full fat version of fettuccine alfredo! So good. http://www.gimmesomeoven.com/skinny-fettuccine-alfredo-recipe/

I'm really not tempted by sweets so challenge #1 shouldn't be too difficult, save for HALLOWEEN on Saturday :\ Challenge #2 I completed without knowing yesterday afternoon! I tried this at home workout on youtube and LOVED it. I'll be adding to my regular routine for sure. It's very easy to add modifications to make more…

I bring these to a party along with the dressing linked in the recipe to parties all the time and they are ALWAYS hit-- super spicy, and super tasty! http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/02/southwest-turkey-meatballs-with-creamy.html

Try topping it with some vanilla greek yogurt! My lunch this week has been a french toast casserole that I made on Sunday and split into reasonable portions plus 4oz of vanilla greek yogurt. That gets me to about 20g of protein -9g coming from the yogurt :)

SW:164 GW: 135 W1: 158 W2:158 :/ I had one bad day this week and only worked out 2 days. I'll do better this week!

Struggling with shin splints this week so I didn't work out as much as I'd like. Wednesday was also a struggle, I went out for dinner and was STARVING. I wound up giving in to my craving for onion rings and beer. :( I didn't let the decision derail my whole week though, I got right back on the horse the next day and will…

This has been my biggest struggle. I finally decided to stop drinking during the week. It actually makes me enjoy my beer more on the weekends! I try to limit my consumption to no more than 2 right now. Once I begin maintenance I know I'll be able to indulge a little more, so that keeps me motivated, too!

My favorite is a whole wheat english muffin, 1 tbsp of peanut butter, and half a sliced banana. Keeps me nice and full until lunchtime!

I try to meal prep on sundays but I'm not always successful. With the cooler weather I'm excited to prep some soups and casseroles to take to the office with me for lunch! Here's a link to my pinterest board full of healthy recipes I'll be trying. I'm also a huge fan of high fiber muffins in the morning.…

I'm making this shrimp scampi for dinner tomorrow night, I've made it previously. It's quick, full of flavor and delicious! http://www.gimmesomeoven.com/15-minute-skinny-shrimp-scampi-recipe/ I plugged into MFP, it's 450 calories per serving.

I've started using SUPER short term goals. Like, each meal is a goal. When I buy lunch, I ask myself "can you handle making a healthy choice RIGHT now?", same with dinner. And I tackle workouts the same way. "Can I workout today? Don't worry about tomorrow or the next day, but can I workout today?". It just makes the…

Hi all! I absolutely LOVE cooking and it's a stress reliever for me. I'm constantly trying out new recipes and am happy to share as I do so. I made the recipe below for dinner last night and it was unbelievable: http://www.slenderkitchen.com/recipe/creamy-cajun-chicken-shells I didn't have a cajun seasoning on hand so I…

Hi Everyone, I'm a (relatively) new mom trying to get serious for the third time this year about losing the 30lbs that didn't seem to want to let go after I gave birth last year. Over the summer I started to get serious about making a lifestyle change and after two weeks saw on my home scale that I had lost over 6lbs. I…

this may sound weird but having a full water bottle with a straw helps me a lot. I think much of my cravings have to do with mindless eating, and being able to mindlessly sip from my water bottle helps me keep my mouth occupied. I find I snack significantly less when I have a water bottle handy all day.
