Yep, same here.

nice to see the forum police take the bait. Some things never change. Thanks for making my day! :)

I understand what people are saying about being treated differently pre-weight loss, but I believe at least part of it was my own fault. Before I lost so much weight I was unhappy, introverted, and generally not a positive person. Upon losing weight I have become 200% more perky, upbeat, outgoing, energetic, positive, and…

No thanks! I have a small piece of dark chocolate every day. It keeps me sane. :)

This never even occurred to me. It almost feels a little obsessive like those folks who weigh their bowel movements. I guess I can see it as helpful if you're closely tracking nutrients though.

I have Hashimoto's and am not having any trouble losing weight. Have been taking synthroid for years though so I feel great. It can take awhile to get the dosage just right.

I think I would err on the side of caution and go with the lower number. At my last physical I was talking to my doctor about exercise and calorie burn and he said "unless you're running marathons, you aren't burning as many calories as you think. A typical hour at the gym burns about the equivalent of a slice of white…

Hi Vee, Welcome to MFP. :) This is a great community. I've been using MFP for just over five months and find it so easy that I wish I'd discovered it sooner. Feel free to add me!

Thanks so much everyone. I really appreciate the help/advice!

This! Whether I'm stopping at the gym on my way home or not I often eat an apple on my way to catch the train home. It keeps me from being hungry at the gym and/or stops me from snacking while cooking dinner. As for when to work out, I often go around 7:30-8:00 pm after I've had dinner and relaxed a bit, especially early…

Welcome John! How's it going?

Hi there :)

Apologies for creating this thread and perhaps a forum moderator could remove it since it's causing problems. That wasn't my intention at all. I was simply trying to educate in a gentle manner since the misuse of the word "loose" on here is so incredibly rampant. Personally if I was making a common grammatical mistake like…

Agreed :)

Everyone has a pet peeve--those little things that grate on your nerves. For me it's use of the word "tasty" and people who type "loose" when they mean "lose."

Those people standing over there enjoy their coffee even though they're newbie Starbucks haters.

It works! You can do this :)

Yep you can only do it through the website. Best of luck to you!

Agreed! :)

You're doing fantastic! And yep if you're on your feet all day you made the right choice in activity level. Keep up the great work. :)

Only problem I see with your calculation is choosing "lightly active" based on your exercise. You're going to add in your exercise daily separately. So the activity level you choose in your setup is based on how you spend most of your day. Do you have a desk job? Then choose sedentary. Rember you will add in your exercise…

You'll likely get a look similar to the one I got at BurgerFi last week when I ordered the veggie burger and asked them to add bacon. That total scrunched up WTF face.

Most days for me is a handful of spring mix lettuce, matchstick carrots, and chopped sweet red pepper. Dressing is straight up balsamic vinegar. On the side a few thin slices of deli turkey, hard boiled egg, handful of grapes, and 5-6 small Rolled Gold Cheddar Pretzels for crunch.

Or slices of zucchini for pizza bites. Super yum!
