It's difficult but don't think I can go back to month 1 workouts as I'm enjoying the challenge. I wouldn't recommend skipping recovery, as I started month 2 fully repaired because of it... Felt a hell of a lot fresher and pain free. But it's up to you. I had a week off from workouts last week and stared back at week 6…

Thanks so much Samoejr, means a lot... In regards to progress photos, I've only noticed REAL change in week 4 onwards around the day I started month 2. Trust me this is when the Shaun T himself says you see the real results. I've done insanity 4 years ago and can vouch for that. Lol... I like the fact you reflected on your…

Hi all, So I completed fit test 3 at week 6 of insanity and I'm happy to say that I'm definitely feeling stronger and fitter. The results are showing too: Week 6 fit test 3: Switch kicks: 56 (1st fit test 33) +23 Power jacks: 45 (31)+14 Power knees: 85 (59)+24 Power jumps: 30(14)+16 Globe jumps (4 jumps are 1): 8(5)+3…

Hi, Why do you like the charge hr2 the most? Just interested. Thanks for your feedback
-
Thanks again, you've given me loads to think about. The swimming isn't that important and I only swim every two weeks or so. Besides I agree for my style of workouts not sure I need something as pricey as the higher models. I probably wouldn't use 20% of the features. Okay, looks like my mind is made up. Fr235 is the one…

Hi again, Thanks for the advice. In terms of running the data would be really useful to beat previous times, route times and monitor heart health/zones. Really for running I just need it to tell me: Times Pace Average HR Times in each HR zone Calories burned My own records too e.g personal bests Mapped runs For workouts:…

Ok so Garmin seems to be the one to consider. Btw I have the sport version of Moto 360 so it has GPS... The battery lasts about 3/4 of a day though... On an active day

Hi Christine, I do train daily, workout, box and swim. Just not sure what device to go with. Need something that accurately updates fitness apps add mfp. Currently the Moto 360 is really erratic with its synching and limitations in choosing work outs.
-
Thanks for that info. So considering my workouts and that I have the Moto 360 do you think there's any need in switching to another device? If so any recommendations?
-
Thanks for such detailed advice. In terms of when you mentioned each is fine, if it's too work out calories burned, doesn't a good HR monitor improve the accuracy? Or can any activity tracker do that well? My worry is that the Moto 360 sport currently underestimates my calorie burn and I know this because I compared it for…

Okay so I'm officially 'put off' fit bit.... :) But that's a good thing and was the point of this post. Now I think I've narrowed it down guys, to the following three: Polar m600 vs Vivoactive HR vs forerunner 235 Please tell me what you think, as I'm really unsure which one to go for... What's really important for me is…

Do these work well for an indoor cardio workout or circuit training?
-
Thanks a lot everyone! Really given me something to work with. I'm considering the recommendations and checking reviews from YouTube by DCrainmaker.. once I've decided I'll give you all a shout before the purchase :#

I'll have a look at this one, thanks Greg
-
I'll try this out in the meantime, thanks Kimberly

There's too many variations of wearable Garmin's... Just checked there website and I'm confused... ? :s

Hi pattib1029, Oops I thought the blaze had gps but they call it 'connected gps' which is a posh way of saying... "You have to use your phone". Gemwolf110 which Garmin would you recommend that meets my needs? Thanks again guys

Thanks MelanieCN77, It's not out of budget but my only issue with Apple is "I HATE APPLE!" Lol I've always been an android freak... Does the Apple watch work well with android? If so... I might consider it

Have any of you heard: https://youtu.be/C_1MUICsY9o Great power song to help you get through that last mile

I'm no expert, but my wife has the same issue as you and she has seen amazing improvements in her posture. She does the following: Yoga Then yoga Some more yoga :) She also keeps it in the back of her mind so when she is sat she forces herself to sit more upright and 'proper'

Hi, I agree with all the points and motivational comments everyone had been making. I've had that same feeling and thought f*** people, I'm doing this for me and my loved ones. I started by running in parks or quiet areas, then before I knew it I was doing 10 miles cross country running around town :) Also for my weight…

Hi caverloop, Sorry I don't know much about your condition, but I too am trying to lose weight. My grandma (rip) had severe arthritis and was obese. She found seated yoga really helped and not only did she lose a lot of weight but she felt so much better with her condition. I suggest setting short term goals for yourself,…

Hi uwatts88, Seriously the hard part is over I.e you've actually started it and got past the 1st two days... Which is a shock to the body. My tips for you are: Consistency - keep consistent, always press play (no matter how crap you might feel, unless you're ill) Have good carbs (or high energy foods) around 2 hours before…

Hi guys, I'm currently doing insanity and just finished month 1 and the recovery week. Next week starts the dreaded month 2 workouts The plan is to compete insanity and move on to insanity asylum (if I don't go insane or die in the process) Feel free to add me, would be nice to share results and motivate each other. Good…

Lol crazyravr, love it! Although you'd see results with junk food, your insides may see other results
-
I've got my 3rd fit test on Sunday before I start the crazy month 2 workouts.... Will post my results.
-
Great results samoejr, you improved in every area since your last fit test! I know! It's not easy losing weight... I'm watching my pasta/rice/bread carbs as well.. I focus more on having veg and trying out new recipes with ingredients I've never used. I made spaghetti Bolognese last night for the wife and kids... They…

Top class advice Coburn :) completely agree with the fact how our bodies adapt. It's like when I did that first ever plyometric workout it absolutely kills, but as I've done it for 4 weeks, my body is more prepared for it. For me, as I use to be a boxer, my muscle memory kicks in really quickly in terms of my workouts,…

I reiterate my above point to you Hornsby! I've not said I'm an expert and by no means want to be! I simply want to lose weight, and shared something I'd learned, which I apologise, as you have clearly explained I am wrong in my understanding of it. I'll refer future questions or fat related questions your way, as I can…
