I'm not sure I'm ready for the commitment, though it would probably be a blessing to some folks on my friends list who are sick of me talking about him!

Even my cat friends can't get over how wild he is. People have suggested I create him his own Facebook page. He breaks things all the time, swings off things, climbs things. It's like someone took your regular playful kitten and made him 100x that. I like to think Dave sent him and is having a jolly old laugh because I had…

Mine is 9 months and when I say he's a handful, I am downplaying it. I have dealt with many a kitten in my time, including his notorious predecessor Dave and nothing comes close to the chaos and carnage the ginger one wreaks.

Barely creeping above zero (celsius) tomorrow and I have to try and get to Ikea before the make me want to hurt people Saturday family day out hordes. Getting into a cold car is one of the least fun things to do and I can't pre-warm it because I have to park round the corner. Brr.

Ha, I am also at the "can Christmas eating deficit stopping time just be here already!!" stage. Mind you, going to have to drop some dollar because cats and their shenanigans tomorrow so probably for the best I'm eating less and costing myself less money....... Cat pictures you say? Well if you say so!

That's still significant. 0.25lb = 125 calories per day, so you are saying keto created an additional 375 calories per day deficit from somewhere.

Suggesting water fasts in a thread about the science of refeeds and diet breaks. LOL.
-
Water fasts. In this thread? The evens I can't.
-
So, putting this into some theoretical numbers. Aiming for 1lb per week loss loss = 500 calories per day deficit. To hit 5x that you would need to have a daily deficit of 2500 calories. And keto was the magic that facilitated that? Someone needs to study you because there's has been no study that has found any significant…

I'm sure, like me, you have spent time in the recomp thread but I have seen a lot of improvement in the lumpiness in that thread. I'm still hoping mine magically disappears with the last 10lbs. Which isn't beyond the realm of possibility given the dramatic improvement I've seen with recent 10lb loss.

My tuppence worth. First and foremost, see if you can find a comfortable bra. I am and have been for a number of years E/F (US DDD/E) and I never have any issues with my back or discomfort from bras. I am blessed to live in the land of awesome and affordable bra manufacturers though (Bravissimo, Panache, Curvy Kate, M&S).…

It's called sharing anecdotal experiences with those of the same gender and with the same issues. Not because they want random creepers coming in being random creepers.

You're right, in terms of weight loss the calorie is king and if in a deficit your body will use stored body fat regardless of macro breakdown. Some people find keto to be satiating and help with cravings making compliance with a deficit easier. Would never work for me as I need my starchy carbs for both satiation and…

I'm not holding my breath! I'm one of those people who also sees the scale immediately steady once switching to maintenance, no continuing loss for a week or so. I have had to learn a great deal of patience in the last 2.5 years! There are physical changes though so I'm clinging onto that. And really, if I get visually to…

Now I'm bitter everyone is getting faster than expected losses. *Wanders off swearing under my breath*

She's beautiful Jo! Took me 6 months to be able to have another when Dave went but it was sudden and a huge shock, plus he was my soulmate cat. And I still had my two girls so I wasn't left with an empty home, that would have been unbearable.
-
Happy for you and jealous, heh. I am sat here giving myself a pep talk. I only have two weeks until diet break (I will have two weeks tomorrow (Friday) as my last deficit day before Christmas but I am OVER IT. At the same time I have been so consistent for the first time since the new year that I am impressed with myself…

I think that’s still accepted wisdom with a lot of people. In other news. Whole tub of ice cream just threw itself down my throat. Rude.

Plus, just because it's cake doesn't mean there's nothing good in it. There are calories and then the three macros. Depending on the cake, (a lot have fruit in them for example), then there are going to be quite a few micros as well. So it can contribute positively to an overall diet just as much as broccoli.

I love cherries. So expensive though.

You're basically undereating if your logging is accurate. So you are literally starving. You have way too little to lose to even be thinking about 2lbs per week. 1lb would be better, 0.5lb best. What has your average rate of loss been so far?
-
Depends on a few things. What are your stats? Current calorie intake (net and gross) and how long have you being dieting for?
-
Maybe look into Ultrasun if you can get it. It's what I use and it's ridiculously good. It's a once a day and I have never burned with it on, even in Florida and you know how I'm the whitest white person that ever whited. BUT I didn't get on with the face variety but may just be me. Made me breakout. But for you that may…

Sorry, I'm just over here trying to deal with the tired that comes from being a mental insomniac (with tongue firmly in cheek, I can call myself mental, you can't! Oh okay, maybe you lot can). In thread related news. I haven't hit a new low yet but Happyscale seems to think I am actually losing 1lb per week now. So we'll…

There's always me 'n all. Though you wither share my bed or it's a blow up mattress in the lounge.

Down with the feminazis! Know your place.

Ravioli as a dinner starter?

Also LOLing and the edit. I'm a feminist but that really has little to do with not needing unsolicited advice from anyone, not just men and not just about how I can make myself attractive for men.
-
Ha, yes. I only did one and it was pleasantly warm. We had a barbecue.
