People have a tendency to think in absolutes and that the calculators should be predicting their TDEE with 100% accuracy. We often see people who have been logging for a while asking if they should use their Fitbit or a calculator without even thinking about the fact they have data to work with and should use that. We have…

Really depends on weight. I can get 30'000 steps a day on holiday and for at 160lbs give or take would be at least 1200 calories.
-
Co-signed, food is a large part of holiday pleasures for me. My last one coincided with poor head health and a mildly disastrous set of events compounding head health. And thus, I gained way more than I usually would but that's fine. It's what you do when you get back that matters.

I feel like both our boobs look small in bra pictures. It's when I'm clothed or, ahem, nakey, that they reveal their truth.

In for milk and meatballs.

I have my day after the day after weight bump. 3lbs up. Impressive. My hip is still a bit narked off at me so not working out again today. The mental fatigue struggle is real too, bleh.

Well, your coach needs to not be someone you go to for advice. Muscle is denser than fat, yes, but you can't build an appreciable amount even when not in a calorie deficit and certainly not doing 21 day fix. And if you were in a deficit you wouldn't maintain weight because of muscle increase, you can't simultaneously add…

Well there's a difference here. Protein, carbs and fats are macros and all food contains one, two or all of those macros. So you can meet your macro goals in whatever way you fancy. And yes, chicken, broccoli and rice would cover at least a good chunk of those macros (depending on meat you could be low on fats). So you can…

Oh geez, *does have the nickname dopamax. As you may tell, I too am dopey today.

Oh look at that, didn't post the whole thing from my mobile. Didn't use an emoji either. Sigh. Anyway, moonface and appetite said Youtuber is experiencing.

The brutal truth is that if you didn't lose the weight after surgery you were still eating too much. And that has nothing to do with the surgery itself. The two drugs you have mentioned suppress your appetite. You cannot be on phentermine long term so you'd still have to figure out how to keep eating less. And as above,…

Yeah I know of someone on them currently (Youtuber

Oh and what I actually came in here to say after catching up. Have had a small-ish whoosh. I want more but I'll take what I'm given at this point!

I am back from my evening of eating and ice skating! We went to a fancy restaurant (The Ivy for anyone who follows celeb gossip but not the famous branch) that was right next to Tower Bridge and we had a window table so got the glory of the view. The food was good and because it's a fancy restaurant they were what a proper…

Although some of our supermarkets do have cafes.

Yes I forgot about you guys, which is shameful given I have lived in NZ for a period! We have the cooking pizza for you and also a made to order to cook at home. Though you to take your cooked pizza home too as they don't provide sitting facilities.
-
You're welcome.

Or Britain, we've four countries, not just England ;) And yes because they said both takeaway and supermarket. And I also clarified that they likely meant a pizza from the fridge not freezer because we have more convenience/ready meals fresh in the fridge than the freezer. We're fancy (and lazy) like that.

And I'm eating out tomorrow plus ice skating which I haven't done in about 15 years. The ice skating that is. I eat out/take out a lot. I'm looking forward to seeing what being fit does for me and how sore my legs are on Tuesday!
-
This is mostly my pattern too. Ish. As much of a pattern as I have outside of my monthly whoosh (when it deigns to make an appearance).

I do believe random thing is a plough.

If you've ever bought a pizza from the supermarket (and I think OP means fresh from the fridge type pizza not frozen but meh, much of a muchness ingredients wise, I've done compare and contrasts for threads like this before) then you will roughly know the calories. Heck you could go online to the supermarket site and see…
-
All of the above but to add, your supermarket pizza isn’t any “healthier” than a takeaway one. As long as it fits your calories and your overall diet is meeting your goals then have at any pizza you want.
-
I can! Are you on an iPhone? If not then maybe you can’t but I definitely can.

If you're getting 1230 for 1lb loss a week then it suggests you don't have a lot to lose relatively speaking. So you have a few choices here. Tough out 1230 gross and find yourself unable to moderate "cheats". Get more active, log that activity and eat some of those calories (which is how MFP is designed to work) which…

@haybales you may mean the Vivoactive 3 for the native lifting app? Though it may be on the Vivosmart too, I didn't look at that device. There's now cardio (which is primarily what I use as I don't really steady state unless walking), yoga, rowing, swimming, cycling and some kind of random ones like paddleboarding that are…

And dug up a two year old thread........

What are your goals with gaining? At 2lbs per week what you are gaining is pretty much all fat. Is the concern here just getting to a healthy weight or is this about aesthetics?
-
Yes yes, I was just pointing out you don't have to use it if super accuracy isn't needed as most if not all of the devices have wrist read now. I thought you were saying that was a minus, that in order to use heart rate you needed the strap which isn't the case now. So no need to switch out watches if you want all day HR…

I think most if not all Garmins now have OHR and don’t need a chest strap. I no longer use my chest strap though I can if I want more accurate data. There are cheap entry level options too that rival Fitbit. Fitbit just have the marketing power but Garmin are accepted to be a better product all round. My last tracker is…
