Because of more food scarcity, because of that hunter gatherer thing, because of life being completely different to modern life in every single way. When was the last time you chased down a gazelle then butchered it, cooked it, kept a fire going, fashioned any repairs to your shelter and skins you wear for warmth? How far…

Another thought I want to return to. The cinnamon thing. How does that work?

My bad, I did the reading the nutrition info wrong thing. Well this is embarrassing. But it's still only maybe 900 calories for the whole thing which is still pretty good going.…

I just noticed I put CI when I meant CO. And now it's way too late to correct and this will haunt me in five years.

Because of this thread I bought two frozen (ermagherd so bad for me because PROCESSED aka flash frozen from fresh) pizzas. They're really good Dr Oetker ones that are like 600 calories for the whole thing. Might have one for breakfast tomorrow in honour of this discussion. As you were.

That too.

I didn't say you couldn't have an opinion but you don't get your own facts. I am basing my assessment of you on the posts you have made so far. Fancy reading back through my history to see if I have a vague idea what I'm talking about?

I thought we'd been here before and indeed we have. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10534785/any-good-ab-exercises-to-get-rid-of-belly-fat/p1

Not to mention, cereal isn't helping one hit protein goals as easily as a pizza with meat.........
-
It is simple math. Working out what the numbers in that formula are for the individual takes a little experimentation because there are things that affect CI. But the formula stands.

Dude, you didn't even know where to easily get lean protein, I don't think you can be up here trying to school us on carbs, insulin and nutrition. And you have displayed a deep misunderstanding of how the human body deals with each of the macros and the food content of those macros.

I did follow this up by saying I used Cheerios as an easy international reference point. I'm in the UK, so I'm good like that taking into consideration my far flung MFPers. My jam is more down in the kiddy section of cereals.

I mean it’s embarrassing and your colleague obviously felt it an embarrassing topic to bring up.im sure your boss wasn’t delighted either. That said, I’d also be a bit peeved if someone was completely unbothered about making an uncomfortable work environment, be that farting, bad body odour or whatever else. Yes it’s…

Just to clarify someone saying eating more carbs = more calories, protein and carbs have the same calories per gram. Anyway, the easiest thing to do would be to lower meat and dairy intake, those are going to be your biggest sources of protein. I would also encourage you to eat more, you’re really losing faster than is…

Very much could be related to your SAD. I pretty much fail to workout at all during winter, it's brutal on my mood and energy.

This. I'm hypermobile and it's only a problem if there's no strength to compensate for that extra mobility. I can pretty much always save myself from a twisted ankle, partly because I'm a ninja but also because my balance, strength and core strength allow me to correct a fall.

Any book called Flat Belly Diet is going to be full of no because what you eat has no impact on where you store fat. That's genetics. You can't spot reduce. Eat the tofu. Don;t eat the tofu. Eat the nuts and seeds, don't eat the nuts and seeds. The only way to a flat belly is a calorie deficit.
-
I don't know why I never thought to do this. I generally go for sweet porridge/oatmeal with cinnamon and dried fruit being one of my go tos, a dab of butter might make it next level. I do enjoy coconut milk, or reduced fat coconut milk for calories, in my summer overnight oats (with mango and pineapple, do recommend) and…

Also forgot, you can supplement your omegas if you really feel it's necessary. Salmon is disliked by a lot of people, it's one of the more "challenging" fish for non-fish eaters.
-
I'd possibly pass on the tofu until your palate has adjusted to other textures and flavours you're not used to. It can be terrible if not done right.

Wouldn't happen to be agenda driven documentaries on say, Netflix, would they?

Unless you have a pre-existing medical condition that means you should keep an eye on cholesterol and sat fats then just eat the red meat. Other protein rich sources are tuna/fish, chicken, pork, beans and legumes, cottage cheese, Greek yoghurt, skyr, protein shakes if you're struggling to meet protein goals or want…

Sames. I need the starch or I go mooching for more. There is also a psychological aspect to it too and that can't be ignored.
-
You do realise cereal is almost exclusively carbs right? Wait, I missed the cinnamon nonsense. Well, almost all of it is nonsense but the cinnamon one is a new level of nonsense.
-
In for milk and meatballs. And pizza and Sour Patch Kids (or the UK equivalent). And wings. And crab. And.....well, everything, even pineapple on pizza! Just don't use nuts as anything more than a snack item unless peanut butter cookies.
-
I went for Cheerios because a lot of my favourites would be unrecognisable to the American majority here. I post with the international nature of the forums in mind. I'm good like that. In reality I don't so Cheerios, I go for far more exciting aimed at kids cereal!

It's really not difficult to reach 1300 or 1500 calories. Neither were ever too much other than in your own mind, your losses demonstrate that. 2lbs per week should only be for the very obese so regardless of what you think it is fast. Use butter or oils in your cooking, eat some chocolate or little individual snack cakes.…

It's the curse of the calorie aware. It does get easier to a degree. I do wish that 1. I didn't live alone but only for the half hour it takes to eat take away. Harder to overeat it when sharing and 2. that pizza by the slice were a thing here. Or more of a thing, it's rare you find anywhere that does it. I do sometimes…

But you do 60 minutes walking a day. That's not sedentary. Sitting for much of the rest of the day doesn't negate that. You are losing a bit quickly so eat more. Add in some of the "junk", I expect your weight rebounded because you went ham on things you cut out. Eat them in moderation to prevent that.
