It’s ok. My 5 year old regularly tells me I’m too fat to go down the slide at the playground lol.

Well bugger. I’m not from Melbourne like you two but I’m an Aussie. I’m up in qld. 3 kids. I work full time as a nurse at a high needs nursing home and I’ve got about 25 ish kilos to lose. I’ve been fluffing around for ages and yep it’s time to put my head down bum up and work hard. I’ll add the both of you

@redlips_bighips are you thinking of the 5:2 diet? Where you eat at maintenance 5 days and fast for the other 2? I had a lot of success with that.

I’ve only ever used mixed grip. Hook grip feels like I’m breaking my thumbs lol

^^^^ yep pretty much everything he said

Sweet!!! I’m about to start my water aerobics 3-4 times a week depending on my work roster. I love it. And lifting heavy is awesome too. Great work!!!

Sorry hun but motivation comes from within. You can’t expect everyone else to be your cheerleaders. Congrats on losing the weight though. See? You did that on your own!! Well with the help of consistent logging etc. You’ve got this. You can do this.

Me too!!! I’m loving reading where everyone is from. I’m a bit jealous though of everyone being so cold. It’s summer down this end of the world and where I live (Queensland, Australia) it’s hot as eff and muggier than all eff.

Ooh I’m 176!! 3 kiddies. I’m always busy. Yoga is an awesome destresser. Except when my 5 year old joins in and jumps on me when I’m trying to do poses. But hey that’s life with kids

Lemon!!! I love it!!! I squeeze it over my salads or my veggies for an extra zing. It’s also really nice to add a squirt of lemon juice to soda water and vodka. Then you put a slice in it and mush it up with a straw. Lovely. Unfortunately another favourite food is chocolate covered almonds. They are my kryptonite

Anxiety, low self esteem, issues etc. I’m a mixed bag. But you know what?? Deep down we are all awesome.

There are a few aussies here and there but they are hard to find. It’s always nice to see other Australians

I’m 5’2 weighing in at 78kgs which is approx 171 lbs. I’m wanting to get down to about 110 ish. I know full well that this will be a long process with hard work. Add me if you like ladies :) I’m in Australia though so my time zone is different

Down with the sickness is my warm up song. No idea why lol. Basically anything heavy with a good beat. My running music needs a faster beat so I can time my steps to the song if that makes sense. Spotify automatically does that for me.

Me!! Me!!! Me!!! Bipolar sucks monkey balls. But I’m medicated and stable atm. Add me if you want to have a mate that gets your highs and lows and all the crap in between :)

I just put my sandwich filler in a snap lock bag and then eat it out of there with a fork. But I’m super lazy.

Poor kid. Most PCYC's have a staff member on at all times especially when someone under 18 is working out. (The Aussie PCYC is similar to the American YMCA I think) My thoughts and prayers are with his family and him and the staff at that facility.

^^^^ yep. I want a power cage. Oh and oly bars and weights lol. But yep. That's my dream

I'd talk to the instructor. Anything that feels weird, strange or painful I would ask about. Just to be on the safe side.

I still have my TaeBo videos!!!!! I loved it back then. I may have to see if I can find some DVDs or YouTube them again

I use silicon spray

I'm not sure where you are, but I'd check out the local pcyc or YMCA or similar depending on your country. Boxing is fantastic for the reflexes as is any type of martial arts. I'm in my 30's and I want to learn Tai chi. Some may say I'm too young. I say pfft. Let's prove them wrong together

Here's another vote for the StrongLifts!!! I love it. It's awesome and makes me feel incredibly I don't know the word but after a session in the gym I feel like I can accomplish anything. That's terrific that your apartment complex thingie already has everything you need. You've got this!!
