I think that it is all about your confidence....Some days I feel super confident and it makes me hold myself in a different way. Lots of people ask me if I have lost more weight on those days :)

Morning Kids, Its been a rough week so far. My OH feel out of the back of his truck last week and has ended up with a bad infection. After a hospital visit, he has spent most of the week in bed with flu like symptoms, apparently caused by the infection. But after playing nurse all week, I got up this morning (5 am) and…

I never heard another person say that before. It's exactly how I feel. I have been over weight all my life and always thought that if I were thin, I would be happy. Not so, apparently. I feel no difference after losing over 100 lbs, it's just easier to go up and down the stairs. Happiness comes in small doses and the bad…

Good morning Cool Kids....Yayyyy it's Friday. It's going to be a long weekend....my OH has fallen out of the back of his truck and has lots of bumps and bruises. No need to work out this weekend, running around after him will be all it needs o:)

I know you're right, just need to get my lazy *kitten* out of bed in the morning instead of laying there drinking coffee....lol

Since I have type II Diabetes, I keep my carbs fairly low but only through not eating chocolate, sugar, white bread. I used to take 16 tablets every day and now I take none but I can certainly tell when I eat too many carbs. I feel sluggish, have headaches and when I have too many carbs over a long period of time, develop…

Hello Thursday and everybody. I really need to find motivation to exercise. I have a cross trainer at home but haven't used it since before Christmas. I also pay for a gym membership which I don't use currently. Does anyone have any motivation tips for me?

I feel like this quite often. I love being the new thinner me, but sometimes I feel I don't deserve it. I haven't really found a way to stop these feelings yet but I am working on it. I have put on 10 lbs recently (over a few months) and my nice new clothes, aren't fitting me so well. This has happened before and I felt ok…

I blame full fat coke for me ending up with type II Diabetes. (Well obviously, I was the one who did the drinking lol) I used to drink 2-4 liters every single day, sometimes even more. I just didn't realise back then that it was so bad for me. I have had lots of problems with my teeth and swapping to diet coke only left me…

Oh God I am so with you there!!!

From my point of view, I eat way more than I need to. My diet is mostly good but portions sizes are way too big. That is what I work on daily.

I have to be careful what I eat every day. I can't have things like Diet Coke, it really upsets my system as does too many carbs. I try to stick to a healthy eating plan with plenty of fruit and veggies but it isn't always easy, sometimes impossible. But I know that the more I stick to healthy eating, the better I feel and…

Sandwiches.....Ham and Mayo....can't get enough of them when I am feeling that way out. It's my fall back food and I have to take complete control of it or I will end up looking like a Warburton's bread van.

Been a busy weekend. Visit my Partner's sons. a wild weekend but overall 10 hours in a car with lots of sweeties...never a good idea. Back on track now and time to get that old cross trainer out and dust off the cob webs. Have a great week everyone :D

I'm 42 and new to MFP. I would love to be a member of this group. I have lost almost 140lbs over the last few years and still have a way to go to reach my target. The more I lose, the harder it seems to get lol. I am have been a single mother (he's in college now) but I have a new relationship for almost a year and I have…

We were given lots of cheap foods when we were kids, mostly that weren't very healthy and hardly ever fresh veg. Sandwiches were a staple and those are my go to foods now, especially fried eggs and Mayo. If I need an emotional 'food' now, that's what I crave for.

I guess the alkaline diet would fit in more with what early man would have eaten. There would have been very few carbs and dairy, lots of vegetables and some fruit and meat, what ever was in season at the time. Our bodies haven't adapted that much since the 'caveman days'. So I guess that is the way we should eat. However I…

I guess never making a big deal out of food.....eat it or don't. Never use chocolate/sweets as a reward for good behaviour and food should never equate to love. My mother used to say 'If you loved me, you would eat that food because I cooked it for you!' I have struggled with food all my life but recently realised that its…

I am really good with food when I am being 'monitored' by others but the moment I am by myself, I look for excuses to eat food that I know that I shouldn't. I even engineer times so that I can be by myself in the kitchen so that I can eat secretly. For example, I will make my BF a cup of coffee so that he won't come into…

I know that feeling so well. I feel like that most days. I stick to my calories everyday, walk instead of driving and fight not to eat high calorie foods. I'm not having a good time at the moment with work stress and XH and I am so tempted to throw it all away and stuff my face. I don't want to go back to being 300lbs and…
