No work out for me today....who knew that 2 hours gardening could result in such sore legs 2 days later. Lol. Back to it tomorrow!

Happy Monday- quiet weekend at our house. Did some errands and bought a new table and chairs for my deck this weekend which were interesting to get into my car and through the house and put together. No big workouts for me- still having trouble with the ankle and then slept wrong or something on my shoulder this morning. I feel like I am falling apart lately! Also, it has been pouring rain since Saturday afternoon- I should have built a boat!!

Any way- Here's a pic of the new table and chairs:n7ddgx0i5ulv.jpg

    Good Morning Cool Kids.

KS, luckily that table came with an umbrella. It looks good. Hope your injuries heal soon.

Lots of good pictures in general on here lately. Here is my purple hull peas right before I picked them this morning. I only did an hour in the garden this morning. Had to make some phone calls, and need to run over to Mamma's before work.

    jftcqb45jn77.jpg

Right now I'm getting Jalapeno and Serrano peppers, beefsteak tomatoes, blue lake green beans and Filipino pole beans, regular and Iraqi cucumbers, purple hulls and squash. The sweet corn is only a day or two away from being ready, and the Roma tomatoes are not far behind.

Had a busy work weekend, with weddings Saturday and Sunday. Yesterday's was an adventure. They were depending on wifi for the songs and we have a weak signal on the stage. Of course it worked during rehearsal, then didn't when it was time for the wedding. I stripped wires and cables from my personal sound system to get the laptop as far across the stage as possible. In the end {half an hour late} it worked, but because of all the connections there was static. But I bet they will always remember their wedding ;)

Hope everyone's week got off to a good start,

    Larro

Happy Monday All You Cool Kids,

I did a lot of yard work this weekend. I have this one area that was really out of control. My family worked on it for four hours saturday and still is not completely finished. But a much needed improvement was noticable. Then I mowed the lawn yesterday. So I think that I burned a lot of calories. I just don't think I would ever be able to keep up with Larro! Well maybe oneday! ;)

I hope that everyone is having a great start to the week. Everyone keep up the hard work it will pay off!

    Morning Cool Kids!!!!

Wow! What a busy end of the week last week and the weekend!
Had to do some proficiency testing at my per diem job on Thurs from 8-12. Thankfully I passed that with flying colors and then I decided it was time for the gym and I to get re-acquainted. LOL
I did two miles on the treadmill and was able to run the last 10 minutes straight! I haven't been able to do that in I don't know how long! I was so proud of myself.
My son "graduated" from preschool on Friday. It was so cute! He graduate from our hospital's daycare/preschool and they even had little caps and gowns. I will have to post a picture. LOL

Thought I might be able to hit the gym again this weekend but with all the moving we did (moving my son and I into my BF's condo) I didn't need to between all the furniture/box lifting and all the trips up and down the stairs in the condo. I was exhausted, hot and sweaty! LOL

Sounds like everyone had a good and busy weekend. :)

Happy Monday, Sam officially is done with 8th grade, off to high school next year. I am not sure if I should cry or be happy. :'( We had an end of school party at our house Friday night for his class. Small school; he has 14 in his class. We had a movie night with lots of snacks and fun.

Was able to get the boat out on the lake Saturday for some fishing. Lots of yard work in between. I am struggling to find time for a scheduled workout as the yard & planting has been taking up a lot of time. I guess as long as I am moving everything helps!!!!

Make it a great day & remember no one is going to do it for us. Push ourselves further today then we did yesterday!

Hello everybody. Hope everyone had a great weekend...
Mine was busy for the most part, except for Saturday thanks to the rain... Lots of rain=fun day in my house... We went to tha casino/racetrack to watch my brother in laws horse run.. And while waiting for his race to come up, we went to the casino for a bit. I won $216.00, played 16.00 and decided to walk away with 200.00..and left the casino to eliminate any temptations of playing some more...
Then we went to see the horses, I only bet on one race, bet $2.40 on a .10 superfecta and won 45.00!!! So all in all it was a good trip! My brother in laws horse didnt win but I did!!
    Sunday was spent running errands.
And today has been ok, for me at least.
My son has not had a great day, he drove our service truck by a post and scratched the side on it... And then he backed up the trailer into the corner of the house, luckily all is good nobody was hurt and my kitchen is still whole!! I think Im gonna put some big plastic cones or barrels in the horse pen and have him practice driving the truck and parking with the trailer before he really does some damage!!!
Aside from that its been a good day!! Very Hot!! Was not able to go for a walk this morning, but looking forward to later today... Hope everyone's day is going better than mine!!!

Hey Hey Hey!!!! Yep, it's me!!!! Sorry I have been MIA lately, it seems to happen every time I go on vacation. I need to stop, NOT!!! I didn't do so well on vacation with eating and exercising, I gained...but I had a great time with my sisters and nieces and nephews. :) Then I come back and my poor granddaughter had an asthma attack, she was hospitalized from Wed morning until Sat afternoon!! I was literally from work to hospital, hardly home. So of course a poor diet and no exercise. Thank God she is better, in a treatment regiment. I need to get back on track...the new month helps. I started Chalean Extreme again and will combine it with Bikram, swimming and other type of cardio...will throw in some mini challenges. Any good ones out there Beeps?? Ruby, are you still doing ChaLean?

Lots of new members on here, welcome!!!!! Sorry I cannot answer your posts...too much.

I am disappointed with the changes in MFP. I really liked the feature of tracking my macronutrients in the diary and we cannot do that now. Bummer!!! I might not log in my foods after all. I no longer see a calorie as just a calorie...I like to track my percentage of macros instead. Not willing to pay extra for that...oh well.

    Take care!!!

Mmmm hoped my day would get better, it didn't... Went to the store, and when We came out we couldn't unlock my car's door...Apparently the locking mechanism broke..my stepson tried really hard to open it but no luck, the police officers from town didn't bother to stop and help we called them over and they waved goodbye..Of the two locksmiths in Roswell, 1 said she couldn't make it out to Dexter.. And the other said 3 more hours. So my stepson called his friend and he said he would stop by and see what he could do to help... Said he would call when he was close..so my stepson gave me a ride home.. :/
I wonder how many calories one burns when frustrated...

NSV - 1 more notch on the belt. Bought some new (1st pair of Brooks) running sneakers. But it has been raining and that isn't how I want to break them in so they are still in the box. I too need an ark. Missy (dog) literally sits and almost purrs to get towel dried. Why do labs love water on the ground - puddles, lakes, rivers, pools, but hate water from the sky - rain, sprinklers, etc? I'll never know. Cut back the distance Sunday and Monday due to rain and pup under the weather. Thought we'd be going to the vet today but she bounced back and decided to chew up everything she could find...

Gam3rguy - I have verizon. What app is that? Is the distance more accurate than the S health app? I usually come home and use geodistance.com to get my real distance walked.

Welcome DD and other newbies. No need to feel alone - we are all friends here. Good night!

Guess everyone is busy today. Lots to report later. The weather has improved much here in Texas but with waters receding, there is a lot of clean up in the state. We had a cattle drive near my town. They had to rescue about 500 head out of the riverbottom. That was a sight.

Hi Alf - I have not been doing Chalene Extreme. I am hoping to get back into a better routine now that Sam is out of school and we are going into summer. He has football training 3 days a week but will ride with me to work in the morning and then he will just hang in town all day so it should be a little easier to manage than last summer with lots of traveling to his other commitments out of town. I am thinking about buying a cross training bike and getting out and biking. I need to find something that is fun and new. I am struggling with the same routines.

Crosby - Glad to hear you are okay, that is so horrible with all the flooding you have had down in Texas. One step at a time, I know how helpful the TX people are. I used to live down there and I am sure you will have lots of neighborly help. That is just the nature of how the people are down there:)

Stephanie - great pic, congratulations on your son's graduation. Very adorable.

Nick - Cannot wait to hear how your Brooks feel. I have heard great things about them. I hope the rain stops soon, we have had a lot here also. The last couple days have been really nice though.

Pat - I hope today went better than yesterday, you poor thing. That is too much bad luck in one day. Way to keep a positive attitude. At least you had good luck at the horse track, that is awesome!

Ruby, lovely pictures! I totally get about getting bored with same workouts.

I went swimming today, 45 laps not including warmup and cool down. I kicked my butt. It turns out I have a another month of my gym membership. So I'd better take advantage of it. Schedules are changing starting Friday, last day of school is Thursday. Plus that is it for my son, he is out of the school system. :(

Stephanie, what a cute picture! Congrats to your little one. My granddaughter is going to second grade now. Oh Lord where does the time go????

    Good Morning.

I had a long day fencing yesterday. I'm expanding the garden and going around the grapevines and fruit trees. I got as far as I could go until I pick up another couple of rolls of wire when I go to Lowe's tomorrow. Today is my cleaning lady day, so I'm doing my part before she gets here. Still going to try to get the front yard {right in front of the house} mowed. And of course the garden has to be picked over.

    Nice pictures Alf and Ruby.

Hope everyone is having a good day,

    Larro

PS: one good thing about working until dark. Sunset.

@ruby70- Thanks! I can't believe he is going to start kindergarten in the fall! Very cute pictures of the baby birds!!! We have some in the bird house in the tree outside the house. You can hear the little sqwakers when their parents come to feed them. LOL

@Alf1163- Your granddaughter is so cute!!!! Time seems to speed up a lot more when you have kids. So not fair! LOL

Hello everyone. Had a very wet cold weekend here, got out for some walks when the downpours stopped. Yes what is it with labs, mine some days she will go out in a downpour and others if it hits her delicate nose wrong for get it!

Just did 30 minutes on a stationary bike getting caught up and continue to pedal while I type, will be doing 40 minutes today. Phew.

Decided to stop this morning at City Cafe, they make great bagels with not preservatives in them. Tasted fantastic but I have noticed that it feels like I have a bit of a lump in my throat, which is a bit of an allergic reaction to something. Not sure if it was the bagel or something in a Iogo yogourt that I also had. Hm. Not a serious enough reaction to have to use my Epipen thank goodness!

Time for a 5 minute cool down. Have a great day everyone great posts to read while I worked out!!!

Hello to everyone, Nice sunset Larro. I have had a little slow down on the excercising the last week. Need to get back to the good routine here. Things have been busy here with my mini group luncheon and then my brother from Az came for about 25 hours between a job he had. School is almost out here, still trying to get my son back to getting all caught up on the homework. I have quite a lot of quilting to do for two customers right now, plus 2 guild deadlines for next month, so I need to use my time wisely. I am trying to get better about that.
I hope you all have a good week and stay on track.

    Lifting! BOOM!

    Cardio! ZOOM!

About 4 more llbs to dump, plus 1" smaller on my waist and my summer-physique will be good to go!

    Yay!

Trying to decide if it is time to move the 86 yo father from assisted living in the town he has called home since 1966 to where I live - or where my brother lives. As he gets less able and needs more help he needs to be closer so we can monitor what is going on. He is not going to like it but we kids are in agreement that is about time.

Being in between elderly parents and college kids is hard.

    Morning Kid's !
Well Dylan ( my son's friend ( 18 )) is all moved in. He graduated last week. Now he's off to Camp Bethel were he'll be volunteering throughout the week through the summer. Is it weird I kind of miss him and his girl friend being around ? He'll be back Friday afternoon in time to work his job on Saturday. Meanwhile we leave Saturday morning for Rodante ( Outer Banks ) for a week or less.
Two of our son's friends showed up around 9 p.m. last night in the rain. They walked. ( Foster kid ) Brandon is crashed on the couch while Gavyn ( host family member ) is crashing in Dylan's room. The stepdad's been harping on them to find summer jobs, not stay up as late, and not sleep all day. I probably disappointed them by agreeing. I told them we want Jonas to find a summer job too. They are all heading into their senior year of high school this fall. They need to experience a little of the real world. I worked my junior and senior year of high school. Working a summer job is not going to hurt them.
    Anyway hope everyone's doing well.
    Hello and welcome Newbies !
I'll check back after vacation. Trying to pack and get all our ducks in a row here. LOL

P.S. I'm slow cooking a roast in the crockpot ( overnight ). Anyone else wake up giving theirselves sniff checks or is it just me ? LOL remembered the onion soup mix this morning.
