  • Please feel free to add me. As far as I know my food diary is open and I only dine out about once per month. Everything else is home prepared.
  • 90lbs is what I will have to lose over all to reach my UGW. I'll send ya a friends request :)
  • Love cream of wheat! I just like it with a teaspoon of brown sugar and a tablespoon of half and half.
  • My Nana lived to be 94. She was never, in her entire life, overweight. She lead an active lifestyle up until she passed and her motto was, "eat anything you want...in moderation". If she wanted wine, she drank a small glass. If she wanted cheesecake, she ate smaller portions at dinner. If she wanted spaghetti with meat…

  • Watermelon, and Cotton Candy grapes from The Grapery. They come out in August. YUM!
  • I typically don't feel the need to eat as much when it is hot. Also, with water retention, just drink more water and lower your sodium intake some. And make sure you're getting enough potassium.
  • Boredom is my biggest trigger. That's when I would do most of my late night mindless binge eating. My other trigger is mindless nibbling in the kitchen, so I'm trying to avoid that.

  • Praise the FSM! A common sense reply!
  • But surely you are aware that she has nutritionists and medical advisers at her disposal, no? This is merely an opinion. It doesn't necessarily make it fact. Her ideas are not a failure. They're not even her original ideas. I don't recall her ever saying people can't. She is presenting options to people who choose to eat…
  • I used to do Zumba at home watching YouTube videos. It was a lot of fun. There are also some great workout programs on Xfinity OnDemand and for the Roku. And, if those aren't an option, walking. I love going walking. I don't go to the gym either, but I do own a Total Gym XLS (made payments on it over the course of six…
  • She's an "idiot" who has a way better looking body, and better fitness stamina, than I do, so obviously she knows something. Also, don't forget, every First Lady is hooked up with some sort of pet project. Michelle Obama's just happens to be healthy diet and being physically active. Considering the fact that most American…
  • 140 calories seems about right, keeping it on the safe side. But I highly recommend investing in a digital kitchen scale that has a tare feature, and weighs in ounces and grams. You can get them relatively cheap at Wal-Mart. I takes all the guess work out of things like this
  • I had 2 Ritz crackers, 1 tsp of whipped cream cheese, and a 1/2 teaspoon of hot pepper jelly. Why? Because my mom bought some delicious hot pepper jelly at the farmer's market, and I wanted to sample it. Hot pepper jelly just isn't the same without a cracker and some cream cheese.
  • Ice cream. I am physically, and mentally, incapable of enjoying a small portion and just tracking it. I can eat a pint in one sitting, so for now I'm completely abstaining. But that's the only food I have given up. Everything else I've been able to enjoy in moderation, track, and move forward
  • I love those, but I was wondering if the Smart Coach app works with a Chromebook laptop? I don't have a smart phone yet, so I am hesitant to purchase a device that requires a smart phone app.
  • For some people this isn't a big deal. For other people, such as myself, being accurate and consistent in tracking is imperative. I will use my digital kitchen scale to weigh each ingredient and then put everything into the recipe builder. I try and be mindful of those little licks and tastes whilst cooking, but if I…
  • Hummus with toasted hemp seeds and veggies to dip, apple slices with vanilla Greek yogurt and cinnamon, fresh pineapple, a tablespoon of peanut butter just by itself, Endangered Species Sea Salt & Lime Creme Dark Chocolate Bar.
  • Track everything, even non-starchy veggies.
  • Feeling deprived is a dangerous place to be when you're trying to lose weight. Some people can do cheat days, but I know with my history of disordered eating habits a whole day of splurges is too much; however, I plan ahead for little treats every day. One day I may have a nice cup of hot chocolate. Another I may eat…
  • Breakfast: 1 large Chiquita banana and a KIND bar (Almond & Madagascar Vanilla...YUM!) Lunch: Hummus, toasted hemp seed, grape tomatoes, cucumber, and sweet mini peppers Dinner (will be): Quinoa, avocado, chicken breast, baby bella mushrooms, and onions with some low-sodium Tamari Snacks: Garden of Life Raw Meal Vanilla…
  • Chocolate. Don't get me wrong, I love cheese, but I don't know if I could live without my dark chocolate.
  • I'm going on vacation to Myrtle Beach at the end of August, and I'm planning to stay on track by keeping within my calorie budget and exercising. Will your accommodations have a kitchen or kitchenette space? If so you could prepare your own healthy snacks and meals and then reserve your calories for things like dining out…
  • Ahhh, indeed. I wonder if the OP meant HIT or HIIT. I'm so used to people talking about HIIT I assumed it was a typo.
  • I think HIIT is great, even if it feels a part of your soul has died when you're doing it. With that said, it's still just a method for burning calories. You can burn 250 calories kicking your own self in the *kitten* in, what, twenty minutes of HIIT, or you can burn that same amount going for a brisk 40 minute walk. Below…
  • In the beginning you will lose some water weight. The more overweight you are, the more you lose and faster those first couple of weeks. But like barbecuesauce said, don't expect that to continue, because that sort of weight loss every week is not typical, nor is it sustainable or healthy.
  • Is it possible that eating only 600-900 calories per day you have surpassed the stage of hunger where you feel the cues such as hunger pangs and cravings and gone into full-blown starvation nausea? Like when it goes from stomach oriented hunger cues to an actual chemical issue, such as a serious drop in blood sugar?
  • Hi there! Your goal seems pretty realistic. Have you talked with your doctor about your weight loss and fitness goals, since you do have some preexisting medical conditions? With regards to portion control I cannot emphasize enough the importance of investing in an accurate digital kitchen scale. One that has a tare…
  • Calories in, calories out. Beverages don't enhance weight loss. Honey is very good for you, but it's still calories.
  • To tone, burn fat, and build up my strength and endurance
