Would your place of employment allow you to use a large exercise ball to sit on instead of a chair? Sitting on the ball requires balance and more core muscles are used thereby burning more calories than sitting comfortably in a chair. Just a thought.

I own a Garmin Vivofit and I love it. It makes my progress visible and helps to keep me on track. Also, I sync my Garmin Connect account with my MyFitnessPal account and it shows me all of my progress (or sometimes lack of progress!) in one place.
