  • Have someone at your house hide the scale for you. I check when I think of it on the scale, but I double check it at the higi station at Kroger before I log it or worry about it.
  • I'm here. 47 anyone is welcome to send me a friend request, but please have your profile filled out. I feel really strange adding someone blind.
  • at the moment, keeping myself in clothes that don't look like they are hanging off me and I am dressed like a freaking clown. *sigh*
  • busting *kitten* trying to reclaim the yard from lots of overgrown weeds and neglect.
  • You mean the little people on tv? no, sorry. I am more of the hill giant side of that last name. My great grandfather came over from Germany w/ 4 sons and they all went their separate ways shortly after arriving.
  • as a pesto, awesome. How about heart?
  • if your not familiar with the restaurant, ask him what's good. easy.
  • I thought Metformin was a med for diabetes. Or is it now being used for weightloss as well? I took it a few years back till I could get my blood sugar under control, but didn't lose any weight.
  • Well no, LOL I was just thinking of the future. LOL
  • gorgeous costume (was at a scifi convention), but it would look so much better in a rumpled heap beside my bed.
  • you know, ask your husband to teach you to cook. :) people that enjoy cooking love to teach other people. Ask him to write down prep work instructions to leave them for you in the morning and you will have it all done and out of the way for him when he gets home. Prep work is actually fun to do when you have company and…
  • Ok, now that is really tempting.
  • LOL Not me it wont. LOL I can't stand oreo cookies. My dad eats them by the bag full and it will eventually gross you out.
  • I don't worry about or think about "clean" eating. I just want to have the best food I can afford or manage to get for my dad and I. I don't like GMO's cause I think they haven't done enough research on them. I don't like the chemical preservatives in food cause some of the side effects can be bazaar (such as increasing…
  • Sorry, had my post all set up and nice and polite and all. I didn't realize the ban on political stuff so I pulled it. Sorry all.
  • 47 here in redneck illinois. :) you are so not alone. My mum and I were going to try losing weight together when she came home from convalescence. She never made it home. She passed away on May 9th. I am still doing it though in her memory and because she was really worried about my weight. I would be happy to have a new…
  • I'm actually finding that if I go back to the type of foods that Mum grew up on during WWII and rations, they are actually less calories. I got some of those cheap Aldi's burgers thinking they were pre measured, how bad could they be? almost 400 calories each. Really bad. But then I have some beef hearts we got before…
  • slideaway1, I just took a peak at your profile. LOL based on that, you have the sense of humor down pat. "world domination" and "walking around with a smug look on your smug face" LOL
  • intellect, laughter, mischief, general love of life... oh and being a big nerdy sci-fi junkie doesnt hurt either. LOL I want someone that will understand when I start to flip out cause the CW's 'The Flash' season finale caused such a huge honking time paradox.
  • They need a "like" button or something on here. This is pretty much what I was trying to say myself. Take care of you first. Make your life happy, make YOU happy. Make sure you are the person you want to be and are presenting that to the world. When you are ready the right woman will be attracted to you and you will know…
  • I have been making up a big bag of mixed salad greens and homemade dressing and about 30 minutes or so before I have a regular meal I fix myself a nice big helping of salad from my ready made bag and that seems to fill me up so I don't get to the point of starving at meal time. :)
  • you know. From an artistic point of view, men such as are in magic mike are beautiful to look at. Artistically they are a lot of fun to draw or sculpt and I can appreciate them from that standpoint, but to be completely honest, I really prefer guys with a bit of padding to cuddle with. Too obsessive about their looks and…
  • Yeah, see... I don't think I could manage that. I like food too much. I love flavor. If I tried to cut back that far I would eventually jump off the wagon just in frustration alone. So far what it is giving me seems to be working. When I go and see the dietitian (waiting for the referral to get there so I can make an…
  • Maybe that is why I'm never hitting my goal. I'm always under it by 500 to 800 calories. Maybe I will manually change it once I go and see a dietitian. I remember when I was much younger and they tried to stick me on a 1,200 calorie diet. I was starving all the time and all it did was shut down my metabolism.
  • anyone cook with Teff or Kamut? I just found those and am wondering. DrWeil.com give info and them and it sounds good, but I havent tried them and was wondering if anyone likes them. I am thinking I would sort of cook them like a pilaf or rice or something. Need to work on more variety. I like a wide range or stuff, but…
  • thank you. Saved, Printing and it's getting taped to my fridge.
  • I have the ones from when I used to make soap and bath goodies as a part time side business. the big scale is pelouze postage one that goes up to 5 lbs and the little one is one I got from a head shop. Really accurate cause I used to be measuring chemicals and just a bit off can mess up a whole batch or soap or bath…
  • make up regular lunches and pack up in dollar tree containers and just freeze solid. by the time lunch rolls around they are defrosted and ready for the microwave. Yogurt cups are great this way too. :)
  • only if I'm really lucky. :) no, actually I was talking about the really nice stuff. I know I'm going to be hitting thrift and used clothing stores along the way. :)
