Higher calcium, which inmy experience is harder to get than protein so the benefits outweigh that cost. Low cal, so helpful in weight loss. There have been studies that show cow milk can be harmful or have negative side effects, like increased mucus and eventually leading to a negative effect on bone density, but that's…

I really needed this thread now. Thanks for starting it!

Love my apple core-er. So convenient. And my microwave and blender. Don't have much need for the 20 different types of knives I have- I only use the same 2-3.

Almond breeze unsweetened origional (30 cals/cup) refrigerated is what I always get. I just got cashew for the first time and think I like it a bit more though. Almond milk was a bit more 'skim milk' taste than it

I peel them under running water. Usually helps.

College student here. I usually only have time (patience) to cook a really nice meal on the weekends. For me, microwaving veggies to get them cooked and raw plain fruits are my lifeline. Pretty boring, but filling and relatively inexpensive. Canned food is my weakness. So simple! Soups, veggies, fruits, you name it. Open…

The cdc recommends about 45g for women. Youre safe there. Some calculators put the amount at 80. Some at 120. But 40-50 is sustainable according to many healthy boards.

Look up some veggie stuffed mushrooms. By memory, about 20 mushroom caps with 1oz brocolli 1oz carrots 1oz onion 1/3 cup cheese is all about 175 cal. Easily 2 servings, but it's 175cal so I usually just stuff myself

If you do it right you can pick them up

Love it. It's so low cal so completely guilt free. I don't like it by itself, but in recipies, cereal, oatmeal, with chocolate mix, etc, it's fantastic. May not be as much protein (but there are millions of other ways toget protein, so you all should chill up there ^^) but it does have more calcium

I actually made cauliflower breadsticks for dinner tonight. One of my fav recipies!
-
Sweet tea, of course. But I usually have celestial's rasberry tea every morning. Most fruit teas I like

On your off days you could cook all your meals for the week. Throw them in tuple ware then you still have your 'instant microwave dinner' feel, but it's healthy.

She's not just a vegan. She's an orthorexic fruititarian. She has her moments, but she's awful. Don't listen to her.

Everything in sight :/

I do it for the reduced calories- not reduced fat. I just bought like 4 jars since they were having such a great sale at my store
-
I've never been a zucchini person but bought a spiralizer (well, a vegetti- they sell them at bed bath and beyond and kroger now) and wow. It's not a 100% spagetti taste, but it's a damn good 95%. All I usually do is warm it in the microwave for a few seconds and top with sauce

Labeling diets like this is dumb. You eat what you eat. Can we get back to the point of this topic?
-
Any whole grain- be warned, it is different than whole wheat. Whole wheat is better than white, whole grain is better than everything
-
The cdc recommends about 46g for women, 56g for men.

I'm not the biggest fan of the chocolate pb2 (I thought it would be more like Nutella :/ ) but wow. Pb2? I'm in love. It really is too good to be true.

Zombies run app. Just got it the other day but love it

It totally depends on what your 'not getting enough of'. I'm a vegetarian (no eggs or milk for the most part) but somehow I get enough nutrition on a weekly average (ignore this week- vacation :/ ) without trying too hard. It's different for everyone
-
Honestly? No, I haven't started feeling that way
-
I usually see that the calories are higher for cooked veggies. Not much- less than double (which for veggies is still pretty much nothing), so no, don't worry about it
-
50 carb 30 fat 20 protein is what it's set at, but I kind of just let it fall where it falls. As long as it's a balanced diet I don't care too much where they end up- usually closer to 65 25 10 (still getting enough protein though- chill)

I said 'no' to the apple slices and went for the cinnamon toast crunch. Whoops.
-
Do the same. I can pretty much eat however much of whatever I want if I save my caories for dinner. Feels a lot less like a 'diet' then.
-
Saw this on yik yak- didn't make it but I want to! Peach, yogurt, and apple slices!

Ahh I see someone's already suggested it
