Sometimes that's all the motivation you need!!! I am excited to hear about your journey!! :)

@bametels Please do not stress too hard over this surgery. I was nervous but I restarted my lchf diet days before surgery just to hopefully ease into post surgery lc. Thankfully, so far, i have not had any problems eating lchf without a gb at all. Since surgery, I have eaten fatty cuts of steak, salad with full fat…

I love the pyramid!! My husband "gets it" now that I have basement to the doctor and all of my blood work is now NORMAL. He finally understands that I am not killing myself and clogging up my arteries. I am blessed that he loves me so much. However that doesn't mean he is willing to eat "my" way. Lol

I'm sorry you are having trouble. I might have missed this in your post but how much water are you drinking daily? For me, lots of water is key. I drink around 120 oz per day give or take.

I had my gallbladder out 11 or so days ago and I have not had any issues eating very low carb. I was nervous about it but so far I have felt 100% better all around since it's gone! I hope you find a solution soon. It is tough to have issues like that with no answers as to why. :(

Oh I wish I could stick to a meal plan! I do plan but things wind up all mixed up and nothing is done the way I intended!! I love how you have done yours. I wish I could be that organized and follow through. No matter what I make the family I make myself a very low carb version or something simple like a ham, cheese and…

I only eat when I am hungry so I don't count calories. I only log so I can remember a general account of what I ate. Some days I am under 1200 and some days I am over 1700.

I agree with @fitgoat. Some of us don't post anywhere else and feel comfortable posting topics about health or even other unrelated topics. I think it would be a disservice to the group as a whole to completely limit topics to lc eating. :). I think you guys are awesome and no matter what the topic, if I have something to…

I wonder how it would be black? We don't use anything in our coffee anymore but the cocoa beans sound delicious!!

The best way to start over again is decide at this moment you are going to eat only the foods that help move you toward your goal and stick with it. A ribeye steak always helps me counteract any cravings. Also bacon and eggs!!! Fill up on the good stuff and make no room for things that are not helping you to goal.

Mine is as well.

Lol. That's one side effect I love. :)

Exactly!!! To me cold turkey quitting a 15 year pack+ per day smoking habit was much easier than breaking my carb/sugar habit and losing weight. Especially when I love me some cookies and pasta. Even in "moderation" these things pile on the pounds FAST for me. Of course when I eat them I don't want them in "moderation"!!!…

When I quit smoking years and years ago I had very similar dreams! I would dream I was smoking and wake up panicked because it was so vivid!! It's part of breaking an addiction but it sure is not pleasant!!!

Lol Cake!!!

Lol Piggies gestate quickly so unless there is some terrible cootie that hurts pigs we should be fine! ;). Bacon is expensive enough already!!
-
Oh my....that sounds heavenly!!

I love ham, cream cheese and a pickle spear! Also roast beef, cheddar jack and jalapeño mixed in cream cheese.

George Stella has an amazing recipe for cauliflower Mac and cheese!! I love it!

We are all going to mess up occasionally and it's ok as long as we don't allow it to dictate what we do the rest of the week. B) You've got this!!

Good luck to you this week! My suggestion would be to pack some safe foods in a cooler or a couple of lunch boxes that you can safely eat before leaving your room! Plus there should be a grocery store close to you where you can stock up on some safe foods and free ice in the hotel. You can take the innards out of the meat…

LOL. I know. Guess my comment was only funny on pain meds. :p
-
Lol. None if that were in my egg container!! :s

I use them and they work fine. :)

I think I need some cake....you know, to thwart any criminal plans.... >:)

I am so happy your son is home for awhile. Please thank him for his service for me!! So awesome your husband is joining you on the lchf woe!!!! I wish mine would.
-
Of course...I've just had 2 cups of coffee..;)
-
Always happy!!! Each day is a new opportunity!!

If it is still in date and you don't want to give it to your son you can donate it to your local food pantry. Our church collects a lot of pasta, rice and other items to help the community.

We have a steady rotation of favorites and I throw in recipes from George Stella or Linda's low carb site. They have never failed me. My husband and I shop the sale papers each week. Thankfully my husband is an amazing partner and smokes or grills for us a lot. :) I do better with less variety - I could eat bacon or…
