Do you have any tips for diet breaks at maintenance caloric intake? I have a history of binging and while I have learned how to torture my body into quick weight loss, it has never sticked for any amount of time. I do not know HOW to maintain aside from what a calorie calculator tells me, so any tips you may have would be…

Binging is a big concern for me. So I don’t think I could do a break from logging and calorie deficit at the same time. It’s almost as though I need a day or two break from tracking, on a day that I can ensure I won’t be indulging in cravings. I hope all this is making sense. I have a real fear of not tracking, but also…

I think that I feel overwhelmed by calorie tracking over long periods of time, because ultimately life shouldn't be guided by an app or numbers. Life is about living, and I think that is what I was meaning when I said tracking takes a toll on me mentally. Maintenance is certainly a skill, one that I have NEVER attempted to…

This was very insightful! I had no clue! No wonder I have trouble sticking to a diet long term. Your body is fighting you! It always ends in a binge.

Thank you everyone.

Thanks! I’ll just keep with what I’ve been doing. How long should someone wait to make changes to diet? Several months?
-
Yes! Defiantly do that every weekend. But as a working mom I’m not finding the time during the week.

I’m the same cassajay, I got pregnant at my heaviest too. I’ve managed to lose 10, but put 5 back on this past week and a half. It’s hard to stay with it.

I need to find a constructive way to grieve besides sitting on a couch and stuffing my face. I do voice my emotions to my fiancé regularly but venting doesn’t seems to always cut it. I know some people keep journals, but that’s not really me. Any suggestions?

How do you keep yourself from binging on the foods you like? I have no control once I get started.
-
Absolutely, last month I started to feel emotionally stable again but I think I was just avoiding exercise because it can be time consuming (and I didn’t want to add stress back into my life). Also, I love food and I had avoided the junk food in my diet, but when I let go I ate everything my heart desired. I had missed all…

Honestly I haven't been doing a good job at tracking lately, so I’m not sure. I think it would be a good choice to avoid a sudden drop in carbs because when my blood sugar bottoms all I want to do is eat to make myself feel better. Thanks for the advice!

Hey there, your story is so exciting! I'm currently in college and working. I've put on about 50 lbs. because of all the eating out! But then again I have been overweight/obese my entire life too, I'm only 19, and I have lost the weight and put it back on more times than I can count. I'm a bit scared of my failures, but I…
