Thanks for all the great ideas here. I am trying to clean up my eating too. This is a good reminder not to be too strict. The article above was great!

I am sorry for my absence here. I got myself overwhelmed with Christmas planning. Our Christmas was wonderful and we had everyone home to celebrate with us. I then managed to catch myself a really good sinus cold/infection that kept me from exercising but I didn’t totally blow it with food so yay for that. I’m usually good…

I first want to say, if you think you can't then you won't. Its true! You have to re evaluate where you can gain a few minutes here and there everyday and stay committed to your health. Almost everyone here has a family and a job so YOU are the key to your own happiness and success. Take it from someone who waited too long…

I am in and I am highly motivated.

Hi Eryn, Welcome to the club! I have done the gain/lose/repeat game for years but I've got a new plan and I am kicking some serious weight loss butt these days. Come join me! Let's be friends :)

Hi Jenna, I am here everyday and i will be happy to support you with you. I need supportive friends too. I have 2 goals, first i want to get down to 170 and if I can pass that my goal my dream weight is 150. I've lost 23 lbs with MFP so far so I know it works if we stay the course.

My advice is make those 1300 calories count so you're not hungry. Drink 8 glasses or more of water every day and stick with fruits and veggies, lean meats (seafood and chicken are best) and whole grains. Limit fats, sugar salt and alcohol. If you eat more than your daily allowance, you can earn back some calories with…

I have been a big eater my entire life. I love food and have no self control. I would eat several donuts or an entire bag of chips and then hate myself for it. A good friend told me about TruFix a natural plant based supplement made by the company TruVision and I wanted to share that it's really helping me. I promise I am…

Sorry about your back pain. I hope you don't need surgery. I can relate to the bulging disk problem. It really takes time and you have to listen to your PT and your MD while you are healing. For me, it was 30 minutes twice a day stretching and getting up from my desk atleast once every hour. I also had to get a new…

Feel free to add me, I am 47 and pre-diabetic with hypertension but I am happy to say that my numbers are coming down with every lb. lost. I am down 22# and I am determined and committed to lose 20-40 more pounds. I also have a history of back problems but have gotten in front of that problem finally through physical…

Great feedback! I will definitely avoid NuSalt. Sounds awful. The comparison was hilarious though. I don't eat a ton of popcorn so that won't be a probem for me but i will be cutting out a few other things like deli salads and noodles or rice that are pre seasoned. I will avoid the cleanse for now too.

My daughter mentioned that I should try a cleanse diet to get rid of my taste for salt so I will probably try that too and then replace sodium based seasonings with the ones mentioned here.
