  • I personally don't engage in cheat days. I allow myself to eat pretty much anything in moderation. I went to a birthday party for my daughter's friend today. I had pizza and cake and felt no guilt and didn't feel like I was cheating. I was able to work it into my calories by having a lighter dinner. I think cheat days just…
  • This morning I tried Country Heat for the first time. I really liked it a lot. I burned almost 300 calories in 30 minutes per my Fit Bit. Who knew you could sweat so much by a little dancing. Tonight I'm going to do a strength training DVD.
  • I was looking at the Superfeet insoles but I wasn't quite sure which ones to get.
  • I never wear flip flops as I've never found them comfortable. I can pinpoint the exact cause of it. I walked 20k steps one day with the majority of them being on pavement at a park. I was still in the process of losing my baby weight so I was still a little bit over 200 lbs. My high weight was 260 until the end of my…
  • I reached close to my goal weight 2 years ago and I was so burnt out with tracking, weighing everything I ate and making sure to get my steps in, that I just couldn't do it anymore. It practically consumed my life. The pounds crept back on over a period of about 7 months. Then I got pregnant and it was all downhill from…
  • I have a Charge 2 and it doesn't pick up steps as far as I can tell when pushing a cart or stroller. If it does, it's not many. I try to push a cart or stroller with one hand. Grocery cart is a bit harder to do with one hand but I try to do that as much I can.
  • My goal is to be in bed by 9:30-10 but that doesn't always happen. I'm a single mom with a 4 month old (father passed away when I was pregnant) and me time is usually once she is asleep around 9:30. I try to stay up for a bit to just relax but then it sucks the next morning since I have to be up at 5:30. So often times its…
  • I just buy the Smart Pop 100 calorie kettle corn. That way I don't feel bad about eating it all and it's satisfying. Tortilla chips and salsa con queso is something I could easily eat mindlessly. It's not really worth the calories so I just don't buy it.

  • A lot? My calories goal is 1660 calories to lose 1.5lbs/week. My breakfast and lunch alone is 1200 calories. I can't wait to get back under 200 lbs so I can start eating more! Some days I struggle to not eat more.
  • Aside from walking I'm not into conventional forms of exercise so I play Dance Dance Revolution. It's very addicting and hard to only play for an hour, but I don't want to do it too much. I don't feel like I'm exercising.
  • I don't really eat fast food anymore because I don't find the calories worth it plus the sodium is ridiculous. Plus it's a slippery slope for me. In general I don't ban foods because I think it's "bad" for me. I just think of ways to stay within my calorie goals. I don't eat pizza much, if at all, because the calories…
  • If I didn't exercise I'd only be able to eat a measly 1600-1700 calories. With my activity level (including exercise) I'm able to eat around 2100. It's much easier to spread my meals out that way and I can eat higher calorie meals.
  • I weigh daily, but usually log low weights once to twice a week. The fluctuations don't bother me as much as they used to, especially if I know what caused it.
  • There's also a pretty cool game for the Wii called Walk It Out. You basically use a dance pad (like the one for DDR) and walk around a town while songs play. I played it a lot when I had a Wii. If you're going to check out DDR I would recommend Hottest Party 3. That's my favorite. I'm actually currently playing the…
  • I play Dance Dance Revolution. I started playing at around 2800 steps today. 2.5 hours later I was at almost 20k. Time flies when you're having fun. I have Just Dance 3 for PS3 but I've only played it a few times. My problem with that game is there are very few songs I like or know, so the novelty wears off rather quick…
  • I take mine off in the bathroom so I don't lose any steps while walking to the bedroom to put mine back on. :D The only time I take mine off is to shower or wash my face.
  • My multivitamin and omega 3's are yummiest which are 30 calories total so I do log those. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but it certainly doesn't hurt either.
  • The best thing to do is weigh everything on the food scale in grams and eat back half of your exercise calories. You may see a temporary increase on the scale from increased calories, but that's normal.
  • Diet Mt Dew is where it's at! <3
  • I'm a very fast eater and my boyfriend hates it. He says he's worried I'm going to choke on my food lol. I've read articles that say you should spend at least 20 minutes eating a meal, which just makes me laugh. I would have to force myself to count how many seconds to chew my food. At that point the food wouldn't even…
  • I switched from unsweetened almond milk to soy milk when I realized how little protein almond milk has. I'm always looking for ways to get more protein. I use Silk brand now which is 6 or 8g of protein per cup. The Carbmaster brand at Kroger has 11g of protein and less calories than the Silk I buy. I think I'm going to try…
  • I pack my lunch the night before so I'm not scrambling around in the morning if I decide to hit snooze. For dinner I make things that are fairly simple as I don't want to spend forever cooking. Usually chicken or steak with a baked potato or homemade mashed potatoes (that were made in advance) with veggies, burger with…
  • 31, female, 5'6", 155 lbs Resting HR is 58 average. Walking at a moderate pace my average is 115. Power walking gives me a rate of 120-125, sometimes closer to 130. If I'm just walking around my apartment doing whatever then my HR could be anywhere from 75-90. When I first got my Charge HR a few months ago my resting HR…
  • Walking is the reason I can eat 2000 calories instead of being tortured with 1600 at the most. I couldn't imagine how hard it would be to lose weight if I didn't have exercise in my journey. I was 185 lbs before I started walking and now I sit at 155. Don't ever let someone tell you that walking is pointless. If it gets…
  • I definitely know what you mean. I'm a pear shape. While my midsection isn't trim by any means, it's definitely smaller than my lower half. I'm at a normal weight but my thighs/hips are still flabby. So I started strength training about a month ago in hopes to firm up my lower body. Unfortunately having wider hips is…
  • Fit Bit calorie burns is also calculated from your BMR, which is how many calories you'd burn all day if you were in a coma. That's why you wake up with calories burned.
  • Almost 4 weeks eating the same number of calories roughly each day. Then out of nowhere I lost 3 lbs in 2 days. But I know the reason for mine. I just started strength training this month and I knew I'd retain water so I decided to just be patient.
  • I haven't had fast food in about 4 months. I have no self control when it comes to my favorite fast food places like Taco Bell. I would just end up convincing myself it's okay to go over my calories occasionally. And I'd end up binging on 1000+ calories. I know what my triggers are. It's a slippery slope for me. Plus fast…
  • I keep my sodium in check (don't exceed the 2300mg) and I usually only gain 1-2 lbs. Also staying within your calories, drinking lots of water can help. I also try to stay as active as I can.
  • I didn't lose weight for almost 4 weeks then out of nowhere I dropped 3 lbs in 2 days. I didn't change the number of calories I ate either. If you're absolutely sure there's no error in your weighing/logging then just be patient. :) If you don't weigh your food, then I would start there.
