  • I've never played any of the Pokémon games, but when I read that people are getting a lot of steps in by playing the game I became a little interested. That interest faded when I realized I'd have to actually leave the apartment. :( Me and this heat/humidity do not mix. It's pretty unbearable just driving to the store.…
  • Right now I'm 158 (TOM weight should be leaving any day now). My goal weight as of right now is 150. However I still have quite a bit of fat on my thighs/hips; pear shape unfortunately. I've taken up strength training recently so I'll re-evaluate once I get down to 150. I've been thinking I may need to shoot for 140-145,…
  • Definitely dinner. I typically allow myself 600-800 calories depending on the day. Breakfast is around 450-500, lunch around 600-700 and then whatever I have left over after my meals and snacks is reserved for dinner. I love the fact that I can eat around 2100 calories. :)
  • My favorite pantry snacks are Wasabi peas, rice cakes, individual servings of peanut butter or PB2, almonds.
  • I'm 5'6" 157 lbs (down from 240) which is only a few lbs from the high end of normal weight for me and I definitely still have a fat stomach. I have less fat on my stomach in comparison to my lower body, but I am your typical pear shape. I've started strength training to try and change my body composition. I don't even…
  • I'm actually more behaved on the weekends as odd as it sounds. At work I'm more likely to hit up the candy jar. I still am in a calorie deficit, but at home I don't have things like that. I tend to eat candy at work out of boredom or due to stress.
  • I know a lot of people find success with this particular method, but that would be pure torture for me. If I only ate 500 calories in a day I would not be a very pleasant person :D My breakfast alone is around 500 calories.
  • I tried one of her workouts yesterday. I tried Pilates several years back and I decided to give it a go again. My butt and thighs were BURNING!! She's definitely good.
  • I eat less calories than I burn. Plain and simple. I don't restrict anything. I still drink pop. I don't eliminate sugar. I eat "junk food". Any kind of food is game. I just eat less of it. There's no secret to weight loss.
  • I try not to go over the 2300mg that is listed under goals. I hate bloating so I make an effort to keep it close or under 2300. It also helps to prevent water retention.
  • I say eat whatever you want and don't worry as much about what others are eating. If you're making improvements, then that's all that matters. I'd much rather eat food that has flavor than "eat clean". Because dang it, if I want my baked potato with butter and sour cream, I refuse to feel guilty. Allowing myself to eat…
  • Cook it with the right spices and flavors and it's amazing. I love seasoning mine with a southwest chipotle or chicken seasoning. I love eating it with a spicy bbq sauce. Delicious. I eat chicken around 3x a week.
  • Fiber One products are good for getting in extra fiber. I'm a huge fan of the oatmeal raisin cookie. Delicious, but I don't remember how much fiber is in it. I also eat Dannon Triple Zero greek yogurt. Each container (150g) has 6g of fiber. I eat two of those a day and I'm already halfway there. I also eat cereal every…
  • On average my sodium intake is around 1800. Sometimes it's closer to 2300, but that's maybe once a week.
  • I cook my boyfriend the same thing I'm making for dinner. He doesn't really like cooking after working all day, so he's at the mercy of eating what I cook. >:) He doesn't really care though, as long as it's food. He'll occasionally request certain food for dinner and it's generally fine since we rotate a lot of the same…
  • I lose weight first in my face and boobs. After losing almost 85 lbs my butt is finally starting to get more flat and not look as fat. My lower body definitely loses fat slower than my upper. I'm your typical pear shape which is why I'm a size 8 jeans at 157 lbs and I'm 5'6".
  • 1 cup of banana nut crunch cereal with almond milk, a banana and Dannon Oikos Triple Zero peach yogurt. My breakfast is usually the same. The cereal is the only thing I change up sometimes.
  • I get an hour lunch and usually walk for about 30 minutes. My goal is to get as many steps as I can at work so I can relax all evening after. I'm usually around 13k steps.
  • I never go over my sodium and it's actually quite easy once you get into the habit of it. Just compare labels for the things you're eating. I also find it helpful to find items that are no salt added or reduced sodium. I use Mrs Dash seasonings and they're salt free. I also use the Mrs Dash seasoning packets for tacos and…
  • I find my Charge HR to be pretty accurate. I'm 5'6" 31 years old and 157 lbs. I eat 2000-2100 calories a day and I usually end up with a burn of around 2500 at the end of the day (without any intentional exercise after work). I haven't gained weight based on that burn and how many calories I eat. If anything, I'm losing.…
  • I will never be a size 0 and I'm okay with that. Right now I'm 5'6" 156 lbs and in a size 9 and I could probably squeeze into an 8 but I haven't bothered to buy new jeans until the 9's get too loose. My hips are too wide to probably be able to fit into anything smaller than a 6.
  • I don't really take "rest" days so to speak. Then again, my only form of exercise is walking. I might have a day or two where I don't walk as much (I'll still get over 10k steps), but I don't sit around all day and not do anything.
  • I'm 5'6" 157 lbs and my starting weight was 185. While my clothes don't lie, sometimes I look in the mirror and feel disappointed. This isn't how I imagined I'd look at my weight. Of course I'm cursed with the typical pear shape. I originally set my goal at 150, but I don't think 7 lbs less is going to look drastically…
  • Tortilla chips and salsa con queso. I haven't even attempted to buy it since counting calories because I know I won't be able to stop. I can eat just about any food in moderation, but that I don't think I'd be able to. Another one is Wasabi and Soy almonds. I only buy them in the single serving bags now because I eat way…
  • Oh heck no. I wouldn't be able to function on so little calories. I'm far too active to sustain on 1200 calories. My body has gotten so used to 1800-2000 calories that I couldn't imagine eating much below that. I never in my wildest dreams imagined I'd be able to eat that many calories and still lose weight, but I am. I'm…
  • I don't restrict a dang thing. If I want cake, I'll eat cake. I work anything into my calories, including junk food. The only thing I don't really eat is pizza, but that's only because I'm not a big pizza person. I'll eat a single serving pizza here and there, but that's about it.
  • I just eat what MFP tells me to and I use Fitbit for fitness/exercise. I'm 5'6" 157 lbs and MFP tells me to eat 1820 to lose 1 lb/week. I usually eat closer to the 1900. No problem with weight loss. But I also burn 2000 calories by 6pm with my normal daily routine on days that I work.
  • I would be absolutely starving at 1050 calories!! I'm 5'6" 158 lbs and I eat between 1800-2000 depending on the day and I'm losing just fine.
  • I personally think they taste a lot like ice cream.
  • I love love love those! The mint chocolate chip is so freaking delicious!
