I would be passed out on the floor if I only ate 800 calories.

I can say that my resting HR is accurate though I'm not sure about my exercise based HR. I tested the HR reading on my Charge HR against a medical grade monitor at work and it was only off by 1 bpm. To me that's pretty darn accurate. Not to mention I've been eating about 90% of my exercise calories and my weight loss has…

I love my Charge HR. I even tested my HR against a pulse oximeter (measures heart rate and blood oxygen level) at work. I was pretty happy to find that it was only off by 1. This was the same piece of equipment we use when monitoring animals under anesthesia. :)

I find my adjustments to be very accurate. I also have a Charge HR and I eat back about 80% of my exercise calories. I leave a buffer of about 100 calories to account for inactivity later in the evening. At least for now while I learn how many calories it deducts. I recently just started eating back exercise calories and…

You could just keep it set at sedentary since your steps vary so much. I work in a veterinary clinic and I average 8-10k steps a day so I'm set to active.

The only food I measuring using cups aside from liquids is canned veggies such as corn and peas. The label says 125g is 1/2 cup, but since I drain the liquid in the can, that's pretty close to 1 cup if going by grams. Everything else I weigh in grams, or with meat I use ounces.

I generally leave a 100 calorie buffer just in case. I'm pretty new to eating back exercise calories, but last night I found I was safe with that buffer. I wasn't sure being set to active how much it would deduct calories, but I generally settle down around 8:30-9:30 and I'm asleep by 10:30.

I have a few baked potatoes every couple weeks. I weigh it raw and with skin. I manage to make it fit into my calories even with butter and sour cream. I eat one with a source of protein (either chicken or steak) and a veggie (usually canned corn or peas). I find it to be pretty darn filling.

What are your sodium levels like? That can cause water retention and mask any weight loss depending on how often you weigh. Something isn't adding up, though. I'm 5'6" 165 lbs and I eat around 2000 calories a day which usually puts me around 1550-1600 net. I'm also set to active. I know starvation mode isn't real, but I…

I recently upgraded to a Charge HR after being a Zip user. I absolutely LOVE it! Which says a lot for me since I was always leery about wrist worn trackers and their accuracy. I was afraid it'd over count steps but quite the opposite has happened. It also made me realize exactly how much my Zip was overestimating my steps.…

I'm a veterinary technician so I'm on my feet pretty much all day unless I'm doing follow up phone calls so I'm sitting down talking on the phone to clients. I'd say 85-90% of my day is spent on my feet. I generally average 8-10k steps by just being at work.

I just upgraded to the Charge HR from a Zip a few days ago and I LOVE it. It also made me aware that I don't sleep all that well. I was under the impression that I slept straight through but my Fit Bit said I was restless about 15-20 times last night. I was a little leery with wrist worn trackers that it would over count…

Been there, done that and won't do it again. I was downright miserable. I hated constantly thinking "well that sucks I can't have (insert food here) again". I refuse to torture myself in order to lose weight. No food is off limits to me and I couldn't be happier.

I went from 240 to my current 165 and sadly enough, my butt is still present in all it's fat glory. It's smaller than it once was, but not flat by any means. Everyone tells me to "embrace the curves". That is one curve I will never embrace lol. Gotta love genetics :D My boobs however were one of the first places I lost…

I just upgraded to a Charge HR and now I firmly believe my Zip was definitely overestimating my calorie burn. I'm close to 1300 calories burned today so far and I've already walked 8k steps. It'll be interesting to see how many calories I've burned after work tomorrow. Generally my Zip would say I've burned 1800-1900…

I'm a vet tech too. :) been one for about 7 years now.

I'm not someone that typically goes an entire week without any weight loss, which is why it's extremely perplexing.

I'm definitely beginning to think my Zip is overestimating calories. Lately I've been burning 750 extra calories (according to my Fit Bit) which should have me losing some weight and I'm not. I thought about making my height an inch or two shorter to give me a lower BMR and burn the calories I normally would. It's…

I play DDR a few times a week. I don't play specifically for exercise. I just love playing it and it's an added bonus that I get my steps in. I've had days where I played for 1-2 hours. I play on light since my feet can't keep up with the arrows on standard or heavy. Not to mention I live in a 3rd floor apartment. I make…

I buy Heinz no salt added ketchup. There's only 15mg of sodium per tablespoon.

For me personally I've found that if my calories are too low, I'll want to eat everything in sight. Do you have any wiggle room to up your calories? I also avoid night time snacking by not eating after 8pm, otherwise the kitchen would never close. I used to be a bad night time/boredom eater, but for me it's much easier to…

It's really depressing because I love Jimmy John's but my favorite sandwich (Italian Night Club) is 934 calories and 2400mg of sodium!! Not to mention I'd add cherry peppers onto it. And to think I used to eat one of those PLUS a bag of Jimmy Chips at least once a week.

I know a lot of people don't pay attention to sodium, but I pay attention to it as if it were a macro. Not only do I plan my meals around calories, but also sodium. I don't like hopping on the scale to see 1-2 lbs water weight gain even when I know it'll go away in a day or two. I also hate the bloated appearance too much…

Same here. I don't know if I should be embarrassed or proud, but if someone looked in my closet, they probably wouldn't guess I'm a 31 year old female lol. I have very simple needs and hate spending money on clothes.

I am at about 17,300 steps right now and so far I have an adjustment of 430. I have negative adjustments enabled and on a typical day I don't get a positive adjustment until I've walked 7-8k steps. I'm 5'6", 165 lbs and I'm set to active. I have a Zip if that makes any difference.

I ate low carb once upon a time. I did Atkins for a year straight but after that went through periods of doing low carb then binging on high carb food in excess of what I should had eaten (too many calories). Over the span of a few years I would lose weight then go all out on carbs (specifically fast food) and gained a…

I love rice cakes when I want something to curb a craving for something crunchy and low calorie. I don't buy them very often but the caramel and white cheddar flavors are delicious.

Previously I thought I was doomed to eating lower calories. Last year when I was losing weight at my current weight, I was eating around 1300-1400 calories. This time I'm around I'm eating 1800-1850 calories and I feel so much better. I don't feel like eating everything in sight when I get home from work or that I could…

It's all going to depend on where you carry your weight also. Mine is in my thighs, hips and butt. My hips and butt is what prevents me from going down a pant size. I started at 240 size 18 and now I'm in a size 9-10 at 166 lbs. My face was one of the first noticeable places when I first started losing weight. I think I…
