Thank you for the reply :) just worked out my BMI and I'm actually lower than I thought, so if I lost 5lbs whilst finding maintenance I would actually be underweight! So I probably need to avoid that. But thank you for the helpful advice.

Apologies for bumping this, just looking for some more advice seeing as the discussion above got rather side-tracked :)

I don't weigh myself so that "ohmgee five pounds in a day" isn't really a problem. A little more info, I'm 5'6'', probably around 120lbs right now. Eating 1400-1900 calories per day. Walk 10,000 steps each day, and then either go for a run (between 5k and half marathon) or go to the gym, for 6 days a week. One rest day…

Don't quite know what I weigh, probably around 120lbs at 5'6''. I walk 10,000 steps every day, and either go to the gym for 1.5 hours or run between 5k and a half marathon 6 days per week on top of that, with one rest day. I feel like I already eat too many nuts haha, but good idea :)

Thank you for this!! I think my doc is a little ignorant, they said its normal for a runner to lose periods but that's it's not a problem and I don't need to do anything about it - he says athletic amenorrhea is perfectly OK! I'm not so sure about that, and the advice you've given here is really helpful. Time to find a new…

Well that's helpful...not

They didn't weigh me.

Bump, anyone else got any advice?

Hey Been to the doctor, thyroid and hormones all normal apparently?! To those suggesting weight lifting, I already do it, but will definitely think of bumping up the weight and scaling back the cardio. Shame, I love running! As for TDEE, what on earth do I put for activity level? And I don't know my weight and don't like…
