  • It's really hard when you have no idea how something is cooked. In that case, be mindful of portion sizes. You can eat very rich foods, so long as you eat only a small portion. If that doesn't work for you, then eat the vegetables (not fried) and the meat (not fried), and keep your bread/rice consumption fairly small.
  • I agree. This sounds like a health issue rather than a diet issue. If you're measuring, recording, and the scale is going the wrong way you might have something else happening. Best to check that out first. Good luck!
  • The number of calories required is a best practice recommation, and it is generalized. It can be wildly off depending on what your true metabolic rate is.
