healthy weight loss is about 1-2 pounds per week (depending on how much you have to lose...those with more to lose like me, can stand to lose a touch more) but it is 1-2 pounds per week ... so 5 pounds in a month sounds about right.

the only thing i noticed in your diary is that you are over in sodium almost every day.. and excess sodium can cause water retention... but just keep at it!

That would be 14 pounds per month... I think that might be a little unrealistic... in 5 months i would aim to lose maybe 40 pounds (that is 8 pounds per month - 2 pounds per week) but even then, as you get closer to goal, it will get harder to lose...
