  • I'm in a group, well actually two, that start on January 1st, but I'd be happy to do it along with you. I have a lot to lose too. I started at 240 on December 3rd and now at 227.4 this morning. Btw, I was reading your profile, and I'm in college for pharmacy too. =)
  • Haha. I didn't see that when I posted mine. At least there is two of us...
  • Am I the only one who weighs myself with my clothes on? Lol.
  • Exactly! And I will not take "a bite" of anyone else's food. I don't know how many calories to put down. Haha.
  • My son is 1 and a half, but I just put sedentary. I figure it will make up for when MFP over exaggerates my calories since I do not own a HRM yet.
  • You're welcome. =) It was fun doing the post. Today, I weighed in at 227.4 pounds, which is exactly 10 pounds down from when I started this challenge. I finally made it, with two days to spare! =D
  • I agree, and I know you said earlier you have her walk to the park or store sometimes. You should try that more often. I took my sister on a tour of my college, and we ended up walking up at least 9 different flights of stairs (in different buildings) and she was out of breath, but she did it.
  • My sister is 18, 5'7" and almost 300 pounds. I am worried about her getting diabetes too because she just eats and eats. I tried getting her to join for a while too, but she wouldn't listen. She loves going out to eat with her friends all the time, but I got through to her about 3 days ago! I don't know if it will last,…
  • Thanks? Lol. When they ask for his middle inital, he'll be able to put X. I think it's awesome. His initals are MXM by the way, and he was born in 2010, which is MMX in roman numerals. Clever, huh? =)
  • My son's name is Maximus Xavier. If he would have been a girl, it would have been Alexia or Alexis (not sure about the middle name)
  • My great-uncle is from Buffalo and he says "ruff", but I have never heard him say wolf so I don't know about that. New York is a huge state and I'm sure you don't know everyone in the state. There is a possibility they do speak it there, just not around you. Also, this language is common in very hick towns in Pennslyvannia…
  • I have not personally had it done, but my aunt has. It has been over two years since she has had it, and has not had any repeat surgeries. As far as I know, she hasn't had any vomitting or problems with it (She is quite a blabber-mouth, so we would have known by now). As of now, she has lost about 70 pounds and seems to be…
  • Everyone in the world has "an accent". You do not think you have one because that is normal for you, but if you went to another country, or sometimes even another state, they would think you have an accent and they don't. For example, I never realized people would think I had an accent, but once I went to New Jersey, and I…
  • I agree!!! Go on another site if you want to flirt!
  • As of right now, my starting weight is 228.4 pounds, but I will repost when it gets closer to Monday. =) I can't wait!
  • Suprisingly went down after the holidays. Now at 228.4 pounds.
  • Thanks. I was planning on it, but wanted to try it out first to see how it worked. It was only $40 so I thought I would spring for it, but it seems you get what you pay for =/
  • Yours sounds correct, but ironically, I asked myself this question about my HRM, except it is opposite. I know MFP usually over-estimates, so the HRM should be lower, but it is lower by about 200 calories. I might return it because it is kind of generic, only a wrist one, and my heart rate is usually lower on it than it…
  • 21 is not too young at all, but it is when you are ready. I had my son when I was 18, but my fiance and I decided we were both ready for one, and it's been great! We were never the kind to go out and party, so we was ready to settle down already, and it was right FOR US. On the other hand, there may be people that do not…
  • I agree. I love this much more than facebook because everyone here is either going through many of the same situations or has already had to at some point and it's not a big popularity contest. Welcome. =) Btw, I'm not your age, I just wanted to agree, but you can still add me if you want!
  • I lost .6 pounds since Christmas Eve! =)
  • I always tell people, if you really want to do something slow, put on music and dance for 20 minutes or so. It will definately get your heart rate up and no gym required. I go to the gym though, and as one poster said, there are many times I feel like I am going to die or pass out, but I have never felt like throwing up.…
  • My favorite restaurant cuts their steaks fresh every day, and it's obviously not measured to the exact milligram. They once had nutritional facts on their website, as most restauarants do, but someone took the food home, measured the calories, and threatened to sue because they were not completely accurate.
  • I have seen a lot of them, but when they make their food fresh, it's hard to provide accurate nutitrional facts for EVERY meal made since size of item, amount of seasoning, and chef differs daily.
  • I am 5'6" and 229 pounds. I have lost 11 so far from my starting weight of 240. You can add me =)
  • I want to join!! =) Name/ real name: Samantha Overall Starting Weight: 240 pounds Current Weight: 229 pounds Challenge Goal Weight: 199 pounds 01/02: 01/09: 01/16: 01/23: 01/30: <<<mini goal weight>>> 220 pounds 02/06: 02/13: 02/20: 02/27: <<<mini goal weight>>> 210 pounds 03/05: 03/12: 03/19: 03/26: 04/02: 04/07:…
  • Cheat days work for me, but I am usually still under my calorie goal. My "cheat" defination means eating at a restaraunt or having a snack like baked doritos for example, but not over eating.
  • That is the same with me. I have not eaten breakfast since I was about 13 because when I eat breakfast, I get hungry at about 10am, but if I don't eat until 11, I'm good all day. I originally thought it was the carbs in cereal, pancakes, etc. but I'm not sure that is what it is.
