That's the part you picked up on? Do you want responses or do you just want to ask questions? As it so happens, I (like many others) responded to your previous thread(s). My memory is bad, but not so bad that I can't remember an active thread that I responded to a couple of days ago. If it helps you though, skip over that…

OP, three days ago you posted that you've always got calories left at the end of the day because you're not hungry. Check your weekly net total and try to reach your goals over a week. If you're under-eating by a lot on some days, that may explain why you went over today...but it might all work out right over 7 days.

I don't do "cheats" or "treats". I do food, some of which has more nutritional value than others. Giving food special sentiments/powers doesn't work for me.

If they help you to keep in a calorie deficit, they work. I think a set of kitchen scales would be cheaper and easier to clean, as well as more accurate (but you may not need to be very accurate at the start of your weight loss and can always get scales if you stall).

It's best to find your own way to keep in a calorie deficit, as then you will find it easier to stick to it. Log accurately (see the helpful stickied posts at the top of boards) and commit to it for 4-6 weeks. If, after that time, you want to change the way you're reaching that deficit you can try something else. I would…

You're welcome! I get it from Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mushers-Secret-Protector-60-Grams/dp/B0002IJQDC

I tried to get Diva to wear bootees but she hated them (she's fine with me dressing her up usually, see her Christmas party outfit on my avatar!). I use Mushers Secret Paw Wax on her now, to protect her pads from snow/ice/salt/grit. For non-fitness related excitement: I've spent the past week talking to my Amazon Echo and…

Blueberry pancakes, made in a sandwich maker cos it's easier.

I have days where I'm not hungry too. And then I remember that if my interpretation of "hungry" was correct I wouldn't have put weight on in the first place.

Oh me too! Yesterday I was staring at my screen for ages because I couldn't remember how to put an attachment on an email - turns out you have to click "reply" first :-/ @elphie754 I haven't commented on any of your threads, but I've read them and just wanted to congratulate you on your pregnancy and hope you feel better…

It's not in stock yet, but I've got this old book on order. It shows the portion sizes that we (UK) used to eat, so it will be interesting to compare it with portion sizes nowadays. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0112429610/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Sure! I won't be here though, I'll be in a hotel eating all that stuff ;-)

Hah I know, it's crazy! I usually have my mum to stay with me for Christmas, but she had to go into residential care this past summer as her Alzheimer's is so bad now. So, I've booked myself into a lovely hotel near her care home so that I can see her lots over 3 days, and the hotel is putting on this Christmas feast :-)

I don't know if it's just my perceptions, but I don't see anything wrong with telling people who "are struggling" to make time to work out that they don't need to do so in order to lose weight. After all, why make things more difficult for people who are already struggling? I don't exercise, and if I was told on here that…

My original plan was to eat what I wanted for the 3 days that I'm away over Christmas. However, I've been to four Christmas dinners already this month with another one tomorrow, so the new plan is to just forget December happened ;-)

This isn't someone who has difficulty gaining weight per se, this is someone that lost 26lb in two months without trying. Please, just stop.

Nice one! Well done :-) Edit: That looks waaaay more patronising than I intended, sorry! I'm genuinely pleased for you though :-)

I'm really pleased that your tests results have so far been good, and that your doc is getting more tests done. Thanks for keeping us updated! Do you think you could eat some more calorie-dense foods whilst you're waiting for tests and results?

Ohh that sounds nice! I make liver cake treats for Diva, but they are high-value rewards for when she's learning a new job or when she comes back to me after running in the park off-lead. I use this recipe https://hearingdogs.org.uk/training-our-puppies/dog-treat-recipes/liver-cake/ but instead of cutting it into 12 pieces…

You don't have to use protein powder at all, but if you do just log it accurately and it will update in your totals. It's not going to do anything magical, like put muscle on your legs or help you to lose weight, and whilst it's a good idea to reach your protein goals you can reach them with ordinary food. I sometimes put…

Will he have to change his phone carrier if he does that?

Most Greek food, but specifically dolmades and kleftiko. For some reason I want them to stay a rare treat, rather than something that I can have any old time.

Your phone battery isn't pushing hard enough.

Wait! It's not Prince Harry? I haz disappoint!

I Googled him, and I was so scared that it was Prince Harry that I accidentally closed my browser!

I wouldn't dream of speaking for anyone else, but for me the message got lost when you posted it on the General Diet and Weight Loss board. Had you posted it on the Fitness and Exercise board I probably wouldn't have noticed it, and I'm certainly not knowledgeable enough to have known if you were right or wrong even if I…

Ooooh bodyshaming as well as whatever-that-other-wrong-stuff-was!

It doesn't work for me.
