The best TDEE calculator for me is my own body. Using MFP to set up my loss rate and calorie allowance, then logging accurately and comparing it to weight loss over 6 weeks or so tells me what my TDEE is.

Ouch! I'm glad you're going to contact your PT, but in the meantime just take it easy and remember that exercise isn't needed for weight loss - although you might get less calories if you're less active. Stress eating isn't going to make it any better for your health or weight loss, it's just a quick fix for your mood.…

Do a Google search for Once A Month Meals, there are some great freezer ideas.
-
I use one of these, as it incorporates a drinking cup http://www.h2o4k9.com/

I find it easier to add food I've eaten before via the app, as I can put part of the name in the search and it will find it from my previous entries. If I use the website, it searches the database rather than my previous entries for some reason.

Smoothies and bacon (mmMMmm bacon), along with most other things, can be healthy - it depends what you're trying to achieve and what you're eating in conjunction with them, as well as how much.

Just a hint for future reference: If you weigh each type of veg as you're preparing and put it in the recipe builder, you can then weigh the total amount in grams and put that as the number of servings. You can then weigh your portion and put that in your diary. For example, if the total amount of the veggies comes to 500g…

My scale does too, but all our labels (for solids) show grams. Although I knew that not every country does the same, I didn't realise that some country's labelling laws allow different units for different products.
-
Your diary shows some items in grams and some in ounces. I might be wrong, but this strongly suggests to me that you aren't weighing these things (I don't switch units between items, and can't think why anybody would). Also, some of your logging is per item (e.g. slices of bread), so you're not weighing those either.…

I've just re-read what I typed earlier, and wanted to clarify that I didn't mean remove sodium or sugar from your diet, just from your diary tracking (so that you can add fibre tracking instead). Sorry for any confusion!
-
You might find it useful to remove either sodium (it's usually not on our labels anyway) or sugar and track fibre instead, as well as make sure you are taking in enough fluid. I can't give you more specific advice as I have non-diet related issues with BM and it wouldn't help you, but hopefully someone else will chime in.

You could get a basic pedometer for step counting, and find out the calories expended for other exercises by time and intensity online.
-
OP it may be TOM, or it may be inaccurate logging (weigh all solids, and double check which database entries you're using as many are incorrect). Also, it doesn't matter that you are eating less calories than you ate before. You have to eat less calories than your body is using for weight loss.
-
That looks delicious! Could it be a carosello or some other cucumber/melon hybrid?
-
Hah yes, quite a lot of it could win a fiction prize - even 'verified' entries!
-
Yes. My only caveat would be to make sure the scan is showing the correct nutrition for each item, as the scanner uses the same database as manual entries and is often incorrect.
-
When you've tried everything else, try the thing that works. What do you have to lose, other than weight, by weighing all your food and logging it accurately?

Whatever fits my goals for the day.

I must be doing my disability wrong, as I feel blessed even though I can't move without pain (when I can move at all). I don't envy anyone - such an ugly emotion IMO - and don't want anyone to envy me. I don't think able-bodied people have it easier than me; we all have our own crosses to bear. OP you probably had the best…

That's the one I have. I've only used it for spiralising, but it's very easy to use and is dishwasher safe. Sometimes I get a bit carried away and overfill the container, so watch out for that!
-
I've got the Cuisique one, because I'd make mess everywhere if it didn't go into the container. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cuisique-Spiralizer-Courgette-Spaghetti-including/dp/B00PR54V30?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage

Thinking about it, I've changed the type of bread I eat as well as the amount. Before losing weight I'd buy whatever was on offer. Then I switched to sandwich thins because they're less calories per sandwich, but they didn't hit my hunger-spot. Now I eat Burgen Soya and Linseed bread, which is so filling that I can cut one…

It's all about the calorie deficit for weight loss, but there are many paths to that. Use the method that suits your lifestyle, and you're more likely to stick to it.
-
I eat all of those things, just less of them.

I love gardening, and do it when I can. It took me nearly three weeks to plant bulbs last Autumn (even though my garden is tiny), but I'm reaping the rewards now. This is my first home with my own garden, and when I moved here 7 years ago my brother planted veg for me in growbags - mainly runner beans. I didn't maintain…

If you're weighing yourself frequently (even though you only log it on Mondays) it might be useful to use a trending app or site. Trendweight.com is popular, as are Happy Scale (for iOS) and Libra (for Android). That way you'll see that weights go up and down all the time, and it may take some of the frustration away.
-
I keep the scale out on the worktop and use the phone app to log. I don't pre-log, as I am building lifetime habits and I like the spontaneity of "ooh, I really fancy xxxxx for dinner!" and don't want to lose it. I log as I'm preparing/serving.

I had an UP3 but I sent it back (I'm not good with wrist-based monitors as I get too many false readings). I use the Withings Pulse Ox now, which can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing.

The levels of glucose are different for diagnosing prediabetes, depending on where you are. In the UK, 42 mmol/mol is the lowest limit. Last year, my HbA1C was 42. At my follow-up test 4 months later it was 44 - despite losing close to 2 stone (28lb) between tests. I was referred to a diabetic nurse and dietician, who…

Oh and eel juice = the water eels are boiled in (pie and mash shops sell eels too)
