(UK) Liquor = parsley sauce, traditionally made using eel juice and served with pie and mash. And now I really want some pie n mash and the shop's shut. Which reminds me, UK shop = US store.

So, I've finally received a response from Asda: I'm still not really sure what it means, but I'm hoping someone here will put it into basic English for me

Don't forget that bars can sell vodka in 25ml or 35ml units (or multiples), so check what you're getting.

I'll keep most things until the next day. The only exception for me is rice, which I dispose of straight away because I don't like to put hot food into my fridge and rice can be risky if it's allowed to cool down naturally.

I prefer the one I've got to any that I don't have, but it's the only one I've ever had so that probably doesn't help in any comparisons. (Seriously though, any of them will do).

Saaarf of the river doesn't count ::laughing::

@MeanderingMammal It's an unfortunate feature of MFP that they use "wards" for address areas (I'm here and don't know half these places!), but OP is in Leeds, not London.

They aren't allowed to sell it in the UK/EU, which tells me all I need to know about any ingredients or claims that they make ;-) https://faq.beachbody.co.uk/app/answers/detail/a_id/9532/kw/uk/~/shakeology---availability-in-the-uk/lob/beach

I'm not sure why you're cutting out all E Numbers? For example, what's wrong with E300 (aka Vitamin C)?
-
It's rare that I do it, but I just wasn't able to cook today and they were soooooo inviting. I'm under calories for the week, so it's not as bad as it seems (not great for me nutritionally, but meh it's only one day).
-
Heh I had 1302 calories of biscuits (cookies) today, which took me 704 cals over my daily goal. Worth every crumb :-) (although if anyone ever invents a line on the packet that says "after this one, you'll feel sick" I'd appreciate it).
-
I've recently numbered my meals (1-6, instead of Breakfast/Lunch etc), so I log it for the day before under whatever number is next. If it takes me over that day's calories I would rather just think "oh well, tomorrow's another day", than spend the next day resenting the fact that I've had some of my calories before I went…

Loving these pics, thanks for sharing! Here's a video of Diva when she was a puppy, running in the park with my friends and her boyfuriend Theo. She enjoys running around off-lead, but most of the time she's working as she is my Assistance Dog. https://youtu.be/-sVkYYzPo4Q

Mine is 71 pence per litre. I buy long-life because I only bulk shop once a month http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/shop/gb/groceries/longer-life-milk/sainsburys-skimmed-long-life-milk-6x1l

Gino has a recipe (there was quite a fuss about this when it aired) https://youtu.be/Stsy_90gKT8

Thank you! I shall move this information from my "Fashion" (they do it over there but they don't do it here) folder to my "Woo" folder ;-) https://youtu.be/GA27aQZCQMk

I drink skimmed milk to add colour to tea or coffee, but I just wanted to comment regarding added sugars. I appreciate that many (most?) users of MFP are in North America, and your systems may be different, but in the UK sugar is not added as part of the skimming process. Flavoured milk may have added sugar, but that's not…

Mine too. I don't track salt and really can't be bothered to Google it, so I add my own entries (and don't share them), and leave that bit blank. Of course, if MFP ever loses its small-town mentality and realises that the EU lists salt not sodium and puts that as an optional data point, I'll add it.

Get one from Amazon.co.uk and use a travel adapter.

I weigh everything, but that doesn't mean that you have to. If you are successfully losing without weighing, keep at it!

When I was 19, if one of my parents had come to the doctor with me whilst the other one was offering me their fitbit and to set up an MFP account for me, I probably would have done my utmost to control those things in my life that my parents had no say in - like food, exercise and sleep - until they backed off and treated…

I used to be a vegetarian, and then I was a vegan. Now I'm an omnivore that eats vegetarians and vegans. I've got no issue with vegans, as long as they keep their eyes (and ethics) on their own plate.

Put pot on scale, tare, add raw ingredient, log, cook. No mess! Or, put plate on scale, tare, add cooked ingredient, log, eat. No mess! Personally, I wouldn't tweak my calorie allowance until I was as sure as I could be about what I was eating.
-
Everything has calories, not just protein. Weigh all your food, measure all your drinks, and see what your real intake is.
-
I wouldn't buy scales specifically for this feature, but I like seeing the trend - same as I like seeing my weight trend rather than my actual weight (which also fluctuates like billy-o).

Oh no, la petite mort is something quite different (and I've never slept through one) ;-)

One of the things I absolutely adore about the people on this site is that they don't care if you're beautiful (whatever that means), and body-shaming is quickly shot down. They do care, and show a degree of patience that amazes me, about people getting correct information. I should think that showing a modicum of…
