I take Lyrica (600mg/day) but it doesn't make me hungry at all. The reason I take it contributed to my weight gain, i.e not moving due to disability and not lowering my calories to compensate for it, but not the meds.

I've just (yesterday) changed from the default to lose 1lb per week to maintenance for my goal weight. It gives me 200 more calories a day and means I won't have to do a major transition to maintenance calories because I'm already on it. Of course, this is going to mean my loss slows down, but I'm not in any hurry. I'm…

I had to go quite a way back in my diary to find some pbj, and I used 20-23g of pb in mine. Admittedly, I only use a thin scrape for flavour - but then I'm watching my calorie count and have a small allowance so that seems the logical to do. Still, even if I was having a reckless day I would probably only use 30-35g or I'd…

Best of luck!

Some GPs have a dietician in the medical centre, and you can make an appointment with them same as if you wanted to see the doctor or nurse. If yours doesn't, maybe you can get a referral due to your low metabolism?

I took pics when I first started on MFP but I haven't looked at them since. I only took them in case I ever wanted to see them - it's too late to decide it was a good idea once I've lost the weight! They're for my eyes only though, I wouldn't post them online or show them to anyone else.
-
You say you have low metabolism, has that been checked and diagnosed medically? I suggest you go back to your doctor, not just your doctor's calorie limit. 1000 calorie diets should be monitored by health professionals, not just recommended, especially for males.
-
There will always be people who lose faster or slower than you. Set up MFP to lose an appropriate amount a week and eat the calories that it gives you. Other people's goals aren't your goals.

I use Peristeen, but I agree about the non-fun part. Did OP need the phone for "logging"?
-
You don't need to weigh your food. However, if you aren't losing like you thought you would it's a really good place to start. For me, there's no point in logging if I can't be as accurate as possible (although none of this is really accurate). I think of it as 2 + 3 = 5, but if I'm not sure if the 2 is a 2 or the 3 is a 3…

So, LCD isn't making you gain weight. You're just not on a LCD. Weigh everything, double check all the entries (the barcode scanner can lead to the same erroneous entries as the search function). Edited to add: Everything means literally everything, including those nuts, at least until you start losing weight.
-
If you're absolutely sure you're weighing everything (you'd be surprised how many people don't realise that everything means everything, including pre-weighed packaged items) and are choosing the correct items from the database (by comparing it with packaging etc), the only other thing I can suggest is checking your body…

Hehe the vegetarian duck bit threw me, but do you mean something like this? http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2907672/veggie-chinese-pancakes

Well done Tracy!

Ah ok, I don't understand why you would say "yep" to the question if the answer is "nope", but weighing everything will give you a more accurate idea of how many calories you're ingesting. I'd highly recommend not increasing your calories until you know what they really are.
-
There's no logic to that. The end result of not eating isn't weight gain, it's malnutrition or death. I'm hoping some of the more science-y people come along and explain it better.
-
Eating more won't result in losing more - most of us wouldn't be here if it did.

When you weigh your food, are you changing your scales every time? The reason I'm asking is because some of your diary entries are in ounces and some are in grams, do you deliberately switch between the two with your scales or are you trusting the weight on the labels on the pack? You've also got cup measurements, which…

Best of luck, please let us know how you get on :-)

Try being more accurate for 4 weeks. Your way isn't working at the moment, so what (other than lbs) do you have to lose by trying?
-
I'm not in the US either, but that doesn't make the USDA nutrition for fruit and vegetables wrong. Packaged goods will have the nutrition on the packaging. Portions and servings are irrelevant if you use the per 100g data, which is why I suggested it. I appreciate that not every country shows this on the label though. I…

I think you just need to tighten up your logging. There's no need to over-estimate 'just in case'; be as accurate you can be with both measuring and choosing database entries. If you can't find an accurate entry, create your own. Personally, I would never use an entry that's been misspelled - if they can't get the name…

Think about why you want to go to the gym instead of what else you could be doing. Whatever you do, live with the consequences.

He's so cute! I don't have experience of running (with or without dogs!) but I remember being really nervous the first time I attached Diva's leash to my powerchair - teeny tiny dog and massive electric chair could have ended in disaster! Here are some tips that you may find useful: * Liver cake treats - I make my own…

Stop telling your parents your plans. You don't need their (or anyone else's) approval at your age.

Peanut butter ice cream would go nice with that (I've been eating peanut butter Magnums for days, they are gorgeous!)

Banana coated with melted Mars bar... oh yes!

Where? I've heard of female only sessions but not heard of burkini only. Do you have a link to the pool's website that shows this? (Bonus points if your link doesn't lead to the Daily Fail or Britain First). If you don't have a link, the council website will show it, which councils?
