I started with 100lbs to lose. Down 25 right now. Feel free to add me as well. It's less dauting if you look at 1lb at a time instead of the whole amount.

I changed my eating habits because while in the ER for depression (not weight related) the blood pressure monitor went off like I had won the jackpot on a slot machine. As I started eating better and exercising to lower my BP, I started to feel better mentally as well...looking better is just a bonus. I also am not on a…

OP: pre-logging and getting everything ready the day before has been made a huge difference in my calorie counting. If everything is already planned out then I don't need to figure out what to eat on the fly and give up. Not only do I prelog but I also have plan-b options if something goes wrong with plan-a. Putting the…

I've started walking around the parking lot at work on my lunch break to combat the all day sitting. Less call of the take out menus and office treats if you just burned some calories. Although I tripped and fell on my way back into the building today, busted my feet and am now sitting in my cubicle with ice packs, so I…

I get the same way. My asthma is almost fully controled but my mind used to cause me to wheeze if I couldn't find my inhaler. The fear/anxiety of having an attack caused an attack.

I'm in the same boat as you...special needs mom and all. <3 I'm going to start slow with the Nerd Fitness routine (http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2009/12/09/beginner-body-weight-workout-burn-fat-build-muscle/) because the only equipment needed is a milk jug. It's the only beginner plan that didn't seem overwhelming to me.

I'll find out if the splurge at Red Robin the other night catches up with me.

I'm going to agree on the Carpel Tunnel. Best thing I ever did was get an ergo-keyboard. I may get the occasional (once every few months) tingle but nothing like it was. Just having something to raise your wrists/forearms as you type will help alot.

I love when I forget I'm in the real world and start looking for imaginary objects or running in fear. Anyone on the trail with me must think I'm a lunatic.

There's a lot of training programs. I like the Zombies Run 5K program because I like the story aspect.

This! After my son was born I packed on the pounds but my clothes size was actually smaller because of the way the weight was distributed. I kept telling myself "As long as I'm still a size X so it's ok." "well at least I'm not as big as so-and-so." Any excuse to stay in my confort zone. I regret everytime I stressed…

1st)My son was put on medication with increases his hunger. He's a bottomless pit most days. I want him to make better choices in food and excersize. I have to set an example. 2nd) Having the BP monitor go beep like I won the jackpot at a casino when I went to the hospital. 3rd) Being able to wear more than the 1 pair of…

I always have pumpkin seeds in my purse. For me they are a decent protien boost and they have more volume than almonds. Good to hold off hunger if dinner gets delayed. I also try to keep hardboiled eggs in my fridge for too.

You have an internal temper tantrum when dinner plans change because you prelogged.

I love your goal labels! Congrats of completing the first two so far. I still have to register for the 5K for my son's school in October...triple guilt if I don't do it because it costs money, is a fundraiser for the school nd I already took the day off from work and don't want to waste a vacation day.

My hat's off to you! Those are hard workouts. I tried last year, got through the 1st two weeks with little problem...tried week 3 and said Nope! my body just wasn't ready for those things yet. I may have to do another rotation on 30DS and RI30 before attempting BR again.

1) I'm just finishing month 2. I haven't lost my motivation yet...which I usually do by this time. If I get bored I've been changing things up. I started walking on my lunch breaks since I can eat at my desk on the clock. It's been fun seeing how many times I can pace the parking lot in 20 mins. When I was getting into a…

I may or may not. If they are there and I am hungry I will but I also won't try to force myself to eat if I don't feel the need. Of course, I'm still starting out so my burn according to MFP is only 100-200 calories so it comes out to maybe 50-100 extra, not an extream difference.

When I first started and switched from junk food to calorie dense food it took my appetite a week or so to balance out. The protein filled me up more than the carbs did so I just wasn't hungry after eating a plate of chicken and veggies like I was after eating a plate of pasta.

It's a good program for fitness. I did it a few years ago and was able to do things like a pushup for the first time in my life. Jillian can get on your nerves day after day so I worked out with thew volume off.

#1: I have to watch my sodium due to HBP and I was shocked at how much salt is in cottage cheese..and it's a PITA to find the low sodium version near me. I always have to juggle my macros whenever I want to enjoy a bowl of it. #2: I was also shocked to see how many calories I was consuming on a typical day before I started…

When I worked the overnight I ate the reverse of what a "normal" day was. My breakfast was normally dinner with the family, lunch in the middle of the night, and a typical breakfast for dinner. It helped me keep a routine that would flow to my days off when I would be up during the day with my family.

When I'm tired or stressed I tend to want to eat the entire Mcdonalds menu because the idea of figuring out what to feed myself, or put more effort than saying a value number is just over whelming. I started preportioning snacks in the house when I'm in a good mood, so when I'm in a bad mood I don't have to worry about…

I've bought a few pieces of clothing that are just 1 size smaller than I am now. I hang them in front of the mirror and try them on once a week. Being able to add some into my clothing rotation is like getting to shop twice!

It depends on how much over my limit. If it's <200 I just subtract it from the next day's amount. If it an insane amount I have to decide if the food craving is more important than my goals.

[/quote]I understand the reason for HAES concept, but the movement can cause a person put on blinders to what's around them. No matter how body confident/comfortable I am at my size, I can't lie to myself and think I am perfectly healthy. At the same time there are many reasons to look at weight for reasons to diagnose…

I loved this! Never thought to see what I would be eating on maintence when I get to goal. It actually seem less daunting in the long run, seeing where I will be.

I personally don't weigh prepackaged stuff...yet. My loss has been consistant, if it stalls I will re-evauluate those +/-1g descrepancies.

I use Gold Bond Rough and Bumpy on my arm and it has made a difference. It takes about a month before you start to see it. I know Paula's Choice also have a solution product too.
