Amazing stories. Take a look at soberistas - it's the MFP equivalent for those trying to kick alcohol - success stories, etc. I have been trying to be more moderate with consumption as it leads to bad food choices for me (and the obvs health impact).

Late joiner but looks good - I have lurked for literally years and now need to jump in and engage! 20 pounds is too much but 10 would be glorious. Actually I will aim to be back in the 170s! So 13 pound goal! Sw: 191 Cw: 191 Gw: 178 Started today, so I will weigh in Saturdays.

For me it's controlling the emotional eating at night. I am going to clean up from dinner and shut the kitchen down by 8 pm. I am going to try to journal - not sure if this will work.
