I swim around a mile several times each week. I have lost 18lbs in 40 days, any exercise has to be better then no exercise.

I would suggest cutting down on your carbs and increasing your exercise. You could try walking each day, doing a online fitness video or just running up and down the stairs a few times.

Meal planning helps me, i eat the same as the rest of the family but just smaller portions. I felt like that the first few weeks but to be honest a few weeks on and i dont feel hungry very often. It takes a while for your body to get used to doing anything new. Initially i find my boobs go smaller but have found as my waist has shrunk they dont look much smaller they properly look larger as they are not competing with my waist and tum for attention !

I dont drink enough either, esp with exercising most days i should drink more water. I sometimes add a little lemon to water or i like to drink fizzy water, i find it hard to drink alot of water.

Ive lost around 14lbs in just over a month feeling much better, swimming most days and can definitely see a difference in my body shape already.

Just take one day at a time. If you have a bad day dont give up just start again the next day. I always try to leave some calories at the end of the day so im not tempted to cheat x

i try and keep some calories back as i always enjoy a late night snack, some low calorie crisps, some rice cakes and i find multi packs of cadburys crunchie bars are only 150cals so ideal for a sneaky cheat. Ive just started using quorn in place of minced beef and other beef products, its high in protein but low in fat and is a good alternative.

Hi im 42, a friend recommended this app and its been great. Think it is harder to lose weight as you get older but ive lost 10lbs in 2 weeks.

I keep motivated by thinking how much better im going to feel and look in a few months. I always keep some calories back so i can have a treat each day, and plenty of exercise keeps my head in the right place x
