For exercise: I train at roller derby 5 hours a week (2 hours on a Wednesday and 3 hours on a Sunday), I run 5kish 2-3 times a week, and strength train 2-3 times a week. I aim to net 1800 calories, but am eating up to 3000 some days (gotta love the roller derby!), averaging around 2000 - 2100 a day when I can commit to all…

A couple of years ago I'd gotten down to 190-195 from 275ish over a few years. That put me comfortably in a UK size 16. I then broke my ankle 18 months ago and stopped monitoring my weight but stayed in a size 16, so assumed that I was maintaining. Then I went shopping in July and realised that I would have to get size 18s…

7 pounds is easily in the realm of water weight loss for the first week of a deficit. For example, my first week in a deficit I lost 8 lbs. Over Christmas I went on a maintenance break, gained 9 pounds, and lost 7 of it in the first week back in deficit, the remaining 2 pounds by week 2.

Hi and welcome to the boards! I also have PCOS, and suffered from infertility 12 years ago. Part of my plan with my fertility doctor was losing weight, as well as taking Metformin. My consultant told me that Metformin has a side effect in a lot PCOS women of getting them to ovulate, so it may be worth asking your's if that…

If you only have 16 pounds to lose, I would suggest aiming for no more than 1 lb a week loss (more reasonably 0.5 lb a week). That would give you an extra 500-750 calories a day to play with. It may take a bit longer to get there, but you won't feel like you're starving yourself doing it

What a difference a 37 lb loss makes!! On the day I started counting calories again July 22, I tried running a mile (I used to run regularly before breaking my ankle epically in July 2016). I attempted 1.2 miles and it took me 15 minutes 15 seconds and a hell of a lot of ankle pain. I hadn't ran again until today, and…
