Me too, 20 lbs back on, rolls around the tum, feel huge. I am 3 years post op, I never had the huge weight loss other folks have had, I seemed to get stuck and despite 800 cal a day and sticking to it 80% of the time I never fell below 220lbs. Then overseas travel for 2 months and I gained 12 lbs and this year another 8.…

I too have been away from the site for awhile and have discovered I cannot leave it and all of you or I get back into old habits too easily and fall off the wagon. I haven't gained nor have I lost in 3 months and I am 7 months post op. Go figure. I like the fact of loosing 3 clothing sizes and rearranging myself, but to…

I agree with Thaeda...YAH for you! Wow, I am envious. I also like the idea of cruise control! I have been stalled too and I understand the frustration if causes sometimes. I try hard not to get upset with myself because I don't think that will accomplish a thing except make me feel lousy and who needs that? By the way,…

Wow, your photos are amazing! Congratulations from me too! Where is your loose skin hiding and no bat wings, how did you manage that??

Good for YOU!!!

Thanks for that wonderful story! I agree with you, to make this decision and follow through is something to be proud of, we are doing something positive to correct an issue. I have not decided whether I will tell people or not that I have had the sleeve becasue I too am worried about the negative comments I might get and I…

Please be in touch with your surgeon, I don't think it should be hurting you this much. Try thinning the shakes if you are using ready made, I found them impossible to drink at first. I had my sleeve 6/21 and also got dehydrated. I found jello, popsicles and iced tea were the easiest to get down the first week or so. Let…

I bought pyrex measuring cups to heat soup, make eggs, heat water for jello in the microwave. I found several tiny plastic bowls with lids that are the perfect 2 oz size for jello, left overs, portions of foods that I think I will be able to freeze once I am on regular foods. I found a 2 tbs measuring spoon for hummus,…

These are very helpful and well written posts! Thanks so much for warning me. I am just a couple of weeks out from my sleeve surgery. But I have been on this weight loss merry go round for many years with intermittent success and regains. I think its important not to beat yourself up, its so easy to fall into that trap and…

Thanks Nicole, I think I am forgetting to eat and drink slowly. Its really hard to break old eating styles I am finding, and maybe that is why I am have this issue! I do measure the foods, but at this point it seems like a very fine line between enough and just a little bit more that causes this feeling of food backing up.…

Hello everyone, I've had a sleeve done June 21 and am doing really well with it, except I have not figured out how much I can really fit in and have had a few episodes of food backing up (I guess that's what it is). I don't throw up, but it is uncomfortable. Any hints how to tell this is going to happen before it happens??…

Look at you! What a wonderful, open smile you have that says hello, I want to get to know you!

I think your idea of joining a wellness clinic is great! I go to a pool several times a week around 6 am and we have a group of early risers that make it fun. We walk, we do backwards walking, "cross country ski" and walk sideways. Some of us use noodles- we sit on them and bicycle forwards and backwards. I do a sort of…

I would make as many meals ahead of time as you can and freeze them in ziplock bags to put in the bottom of the cooler. Eg turkey spaghetti sauce then just defrost and boil the pasta when you are there. Make your hamburgs out of ground turkey and freeze them in individual baggies. Precook your chicken, freeze and heat up…

I love the photos! But where are the recipes? How do you make zucchini noodles for example--great idea! Are you keeping everything you are posting so you can create a cookbook for us :)

Hello, I share your anxiety and decision process...its amazing to me the ups and downs, around and ins and outs I have been through since the doctor suggested it to me at the end of May. All the appointments are overwhelming time wise, but I found that as I am going through each one things are settling down and its…
