Yoga and swimming--much easier on painful arches. I just started having this issue this summer along with back problems-THERE'S a great combo!! There are many things I cannot do which is frustrating because I have lost 12 pounds and then BAM--painful feet, painful back, hips hurting--none of it's good. Swimming and yoga…

Ha--except for #7 I too could have written that list. I would sub in "I had a long day/bad day/my back hurts/I'm tired and cookies help" for your #7. Really cookies do not help...a lesson I have to relearn at least once a week. So hard to change old, unhelpful thinking patterns AND remember that we really do FEEL better…

Prunes--I think they are delicious. Also black licorice. Lots of folks don't like those two things but I do.

$10,000 to pay off medical debt and get back to zero instead of negative all the time. OR...a nap

I hear you--add me to the list of tired working mom. the truth is when I eat better, drink more water and make time for myself I actually do feel better and am in a better mood. it's a lesson I have had to relearn over and over and over and over... I have about 15 pounds to lose and I was REALLY JAZZED to work hard this…

Thanks everyone for the input. I would prefer if ANY method I use to record calories EATEN was on the high side and calories BURNED was on the low side so I don't get, what's the word I'm looking for--so I am not fooling myself that I am burning more than I actually am--so that I am honest with my food AND activity. It…

Right now--drinking green tea and wasting time online. I should be reading-halfway through a great book.

Inaccurate too high or inaccurate too low??

So much inspiration here everyone--you all look terrific! I am 47, had back surgery a year ago, still having significant back pain BUT...highest weight was 181, currently 168, goal is 150 or less. I am a solid 5'8". Working on it. At this age, every pound lost feels like a victory--they just don't come off like they did…

Wonder Woman. AMAZING--loved it!

cup of tea, nap, chocolate, reruns on Netflix

YUM--eating that for dinner right now actually! LOL. rice pudding
-
right now--watching The Office for the millionth time (season 1) with my 16 year old son and working our way through our fav Mediterranean food--stuffed grape leaves, falafel, hummus and pita. I did 100 squats and swam 30 laps today, so I can eat falafel!

Two things: those yellowish rainier cherries and Nature Valley peanut butter biscuits. They taste just like Nutter Butters but are not that bad (190 calories).

Oh you poor thing with the twins and no sleep--I feel for you. I don't know the science, but if I don't get enough sleep, several things happen: I am likely up too late mindlessly eating crummy stuff and then when I am tired the next day I just don't make good food choices and I find it much easier to not work out, because…

I am a fan of outside walking. Our family belongs to the local YMCA, which I go to for swimming laps, yoga, or elliptical, but walking outside is far and away my favorite things. Find music or a podcast that you like and go walk. I am listening to Alec Baldwin's terrific podcast Here's the Thing right now-love it and each…

two things--the daily food intake that the OP posted is not even close to clean and second--I would be STARVING on that amount of food and kind of food. nothing on there is actually satisfying.
-
putzing around on the computer--just updated my Goodreads, answered a few emails, entered my food on here + eating cherry tomatoes and hummus
-
"junk" food?? fries, potato chips, twice baked potatoes, mashed potatoes drowning in gravy OR anything bakery--slice of pie, hot cross bun, donut, cookies--such a sweet tooth!

Honey I hear you. I teach junior high and we have not had spring break yet. One more week. I am DYING over here. Have two reasonable size pizza slices and a big salad.

To get additional protein, don't forget nut butters. I get fresh ground almond butter and fresh ground peanut butter from Whole Foods and sometimes eat it with a spoon BUT you must measure it--nuts are super high calorie, but satisfying.

I have two fall backs that I make a TON--veggies and hummus and stuff in mason jars. This week I bought a big tub of precut veggies and a thing of hummus and am keeping it in the fridge at work so I don't have to think about it every day. The other thing I do is mason jar meals. I can make 5 on Sunday and grab one every…

going to bed earlier--that way I am not up inhaling crummy food AND I make better choices when I am well rested!!
-
I too eat when I am not necessarily hungry. I find I overeat when I am lonely, bored, or "hungry" for something else not food. I am certainly not unique in this way! I have never met a bad mood that an almond croissant or chocolate chip pretzel cookie the size of my head couldn't fix! Clearly I am kidding, emotional eating…

To the original poster...I feel very similar to you and many others on this thread. I have anxiety and depression issues and have about 30 pounds to lose. I find myself doing fine all day and then completely blow it at night. I have discussed this with my therapist so many times and it seems like I binge when I am feeling…

watermelon is my saving grace--lots of volume, little calories. also cherry tomatoes, peppers, carrots--I like them in slices more than baby carrots, cucumbers, oranges.
-
Yes to all! I have not got this licked by any stretch but the idea that whatever it is I think I have to inhale will be there tomorrow is just revolutionary. I mean, who knew??!! I am just like the above poster who said the all or nothing thinking kicks in when I am tired or stressed in other areas. Nothing calms me down…

Oh I am so sorry. The aftermath of being sick is just the worst. I have been on break for 2 weeks (teacher) and Friday night I started feeling crummy. I have to go back on Monday. Why for the love of all that is good and right, did I have to start feeling poorly two days before I have to get up early and dress like an…

My beautiful behaviors...my fitbit is set to buzz me at 9pm so I get to bed. Getting more sleep helps me not sit up eating bad food AND feel more rested so I can make better choices and have energy to work out. I joined Goodreads to do the 2017 Goodreads Challenge. Finally, I have Aqualert on my phone to remind me to drink…
