Wonderful resources. Thanks for posting! I started by selecting three tasks to do today that will assist me in reaching my goals and writing them out in my planner.

I can't believe you are being harassed with eggs! And this is taking place early in the morning?

What an amazing post! I really enjoyed readying the play by play on everything you were dealing with. I am so proud that you didn't give up!! Especially with your kids and husband at the finish line, I bet you were very happy you kept going. I know you can't control the circumstances, but it would have been a shame not to…

This sounds like a great first goal for you. Last month was my first month in the challenge and it helped so much just to be part of joint effort and following along with the conversations here. Good luck!

As a person who never places, this gives me something to look forward to! Maybe 20 years from now I will have mastered running and be kicking some butt in the 50's group!

I had my first Chicago Hot Dog this weekend! There is definitely a wow factor. I have to say, I did like having a full pickle and hot dog in the same bun, but I got one bite with all hot ('sport') pepper and that threw me off. Those Chicago dogs are not to be messed with!

I have a shirt that says exactly that, and with a turtle graphic too! My goal for July is 26 slow & proud miles

I know this feeling. Every time this happens during a run I can hear the voice of an elementary teacher telling me to sit up straight or stand up straight! I have to remind myself to straighten up, shoulders back and down, and relax. Sometimes when I'm not paying attention to it, I tense my neck and traps so bad that I get…

What part of Italy are you visiting? We just got back from Florence, Venice and Rome (or Firenze, Venezia, Roma more accurately) and it was shorts or capris every day. Some nights I needed a light sweater. Rome was hot, hot, hot. We were always traveling as much as possible by foot. Capris are clutch because a lot of the…

I'm with you. I enjoy audio books during certain activities like cleaning, but for entertainment I prefer other options. SoundCloud has a lot of podcasts and it is free. Audible has a free trial with some awesome podcasts. NPR has a lot of good podcasts too, but the NPR One app doesn't work on my phone so I always have to…

9.4 miles to go to reach my June running goal. There are six more days where I have availability to run so that should be more than enough! I ran yesterday and my breathing felt good (I was going a little slower), but my legs felt like garbage which does not generally happen. Someone previously suggested doing more cross…

I just checked out that website. Thanks for sharing! It's nice that there is a training program for many different distance goals and proficiency levels

@amymoreorless Your 4:30 AM run completion is impressive! I had a 6 AM outside run scheduled this morning and hadn't slept last night so I was a zombie and didn't go. Instead, I went to work early so that I can leave early and run at the gym. Strangely, I frequently enjoy the runs on the treadmill more than my runs…

@MNLittleFinn I enjoyed reading the account of that run with your friend. Trail runs are brutal! It was obviously a nice change of pace for you though.
-
@JessicaMcB I can't believe you kept going after hurting your knee so bad that you vomited from pain! I hope there is no long term damage for that! I follow many running related feeds on Instagram and actually most reviews of Banff said they enjoyed exploring the area and the views but would not run the marathon again.

This sounds so fun! Minus the fire part of course.

This is a great challenge. Thank you!
-
I got a lot of items out of the house this weekend! 4 bags donated, a couch removed, and much more to go!

My June goal is a bit different than most because I didn't create the goal/ do my first run until June 17th: 5.6 miles completed, 12.4 miles to go. Many, many thanks to all those who gave advice! I have noticed a difference already. The most prominent thing that has helped me thus far was the advice on easy miles versus…

We are all very proud of you! Great Job @MNLittleFinn

I am looking forward to hearing about your race @amymoreorless and @MNLittleFinn !
-
Great work!! I'd like to eventually work up to a 10K so I'm extra excited for you!

I'd like to hear more about the Ironman World Championships. It looks like Raleigh was your qualifier. What is the swimming, cycling, running breakdown for the championships? Are you currently training your swimming and cycling in addition to the 180 miles of running this month?
-
Those are some great points. I do a lot of the things you mentioned. For example, every single mile that I run I feel like I'm dying (mostly because I can't breathe) but I always feel like I should run at least 3 miles every time because it seems like that is basic place for most other people. In the past, I've worked up…

Wow! That perspective on running is really inspiring. Thank you for sharing that with me.
-
That looks great. Good job!

Yes, as much as my brain resists getting up at 5:30, I would at least guarantee myself time to workout. Following @cburke8909 's advice about setting 'an alarm' to go to bed would be helpful in this case. I used to have workout classes scheduled before work and that studio had a 12 hour cancellation policy so it was two…
-
Thanks @cburke8909 ! I appreciate the tips. I've seen some really helpful responses on this thread so far and it's good to see that people are working in different types of workouts and scaling back when life doesn't cooperate with the plan. I like what you had to say about running at least some distance even if the…

Thank you so much @juliet3455 ! Both yours and the comment above provide some great advice. Do you think a running club would mind if I'm slow as a turtle running through a road of peanut butter?

Do you guys know of any groups/ discussion threads where people are actually active in posting every day? I've seen a few with those titles but I noticed people are only checking in or posting updates about once a week.
