Agreeing with the above poster. There are days on a given week when I have 2 meals, there are days when I have 5, days when CI is less than my goal and of course there are days when I go over. Macros also varies depending if it is cardio day or lift day. Very flexible depending on my schedule. I can't adhere to anything…

When I lived alone my cupboard had nothing but lentils, dry beans, quinoa, oatmeal, seeds (flax and chia), sardines, whey protein powder; fridge had veggies, fruits, greek yogurt, eggs; freezer was stocked with staples lean meat and fish. My beau moved in few months ago in my house and came with him are PB, cereal, all…

Personally, my beau notices close to everything about me. Every curve, hair style, clothes fit, shoes, scent, nail polish color, eating/sleep habits, quirks, mood (especially this! lol), etc. That's our relationship dynamics. Yours is different. My 2 cents, it is best to communicate.

Brunch always works for me.

I'm fortunate I have open-minded staff. They are well aware I eat nutritionally-dense food and they try to do the same. They do however, bring donuts, giant cinnamon rolls, huge muffins, etc from time to time. I cut these in small portions and serve them. No sarcastic or snarky remarks from anyone (that I heard at least).…

Thanks for all the gifs! I must say, laughing is a good way to start any day!! <3

When I was cutting I did not keep trigger food around the house for 2 months. I have slowly re-introduced PB, almond butter, cereal, Dave's power seed bread, all nuts (love 'em, all of 'em), popcorn kernels (I got me an air popper), granola, dark chocolates in my pantry. My issue was not my fave food per se as they are…

I used to weigh myself everyday. I now use the scale once a month and go by how my clothes fit.

Nuts. Love all my nuts. A quarter cup is not that much.

I just got the book New Rules of Lifting for Women. I will look up Jamie Eason too! Thanks! Happy Friday!

My beau has a sweet tooth. He normally likes eating yummy dessert some nights and I'm talking about-- ice cream, carrot cake, chocolate cake, flan, red velvet cake, crave cupcakes etc (you get the idea  ) He is in great shape and can afford the calories. I, on the other hand, don't have a lot of room for that much…

I feel fit when.. <3 I have energy to engage in all my sports and outdoor activities. And there are many of them. <3 I'm eating in moderation without deprivation. <3 As for strength training/lifting-- still trying to figure this one out! lol This doesn't make me feel unfit though, just overwhelmed and confused

I grew up using bento boxes! My mum would buy different kinds (from hello kitty to anime designs) from Japan every time she comes home to visit. Growing up I was the only kid in class who brought bento boxes for lunch I felt rather different  It is only now I have more appreciation for them. Good thing, my mum kept…

Good morning, I started using free weights and machines not too long ago. I have no program and really no idea what I'm doing  For those in the know, how heavy should a 39/f, 5'4", 108lbs, 8-10% bf (caliper/hydrostatic test) lift to get results? I've googled away and asked trainers at my local Q and got different…

I used to be on 60% carbs/30% protein/10% fat switched to 20c/30p/50f. I don't always hit my target but pretty close. I have the same energy level. The only difference I noticed is the satiety level. I normally need to eat every 2-3 hours with 60% carbs, albeit they are mostly from complex carbs. With 50% fat I can go 4-5…

I eat 400-500 calorie breakfast (oatmeal, berries, nuts, and egg whites veggie omelette ). My next meal is supper.

I believe Fitbit (surge) measures estimated calories burned all day including TDEE based on user's profile (gender/age/height/CW). Not highly accurate of course but it gives users an idea on calories burned throughout the day.

This reminds me of this woman yesterday wrapped in leather leggings and bomber jacket, head wrapped in a beanie and high tops shoes running around Central Park on a 90+ degrees weather. I thought that was strange! But then again, this is NYC!! Gotta love the city for all the surreal but nice things (most of the time).…

Embrace your strong thighs. Remember there are women like myself who stop dead in her tracks for every man or woman with chiseled, strong looking thighs I see. I have puny quads/hamstrings/calves and boy do I need to work really hard to get stronger thighs. Someday :-)
