I buy mine in bulk powder form online and use the powder to make the tea. I do use some sweetener not the sugar and it is a rather pleasant tea. Good to know it also helps fibro. I am passing this information on to a friend whos' wife has fibro. Thanks for posting this.

Just be sure you run anything by her oncologist. A few herbs do not play nice with the different versions of chemo. One caused a possibility of bleeding and chemo could also cause this so not a good idea to use it and double the chances of having a bleed going on. Now the CO Q 10 is an anti oxidant so if the form of chemo…

I just remembered another herb we used and it makes a delicious hot tea. Well I like weird things but even hubby did not mind it at all. It Reshi Mushroom powder. I believe my husbands tumor also blocked the bile duct He had to have a stint put in to open it so it would work. This stint was removed during the whipple. Sad…

Camtosh I am also sorry for your loss. I know there really are no words to make it better. You are in my heart. I agree it is best to stay as healthy as a person can to ward off the cancer to begin with. Once or if you get it I feel anything goes just to try to stay alive. The oncologists and PA's and nutritionist all say…

Yes of course we do. I have a very active mine and so many things I want to do to make my living space beautiful and fun all around me. Now I have the time to do so being retired and alone. No one but me and the beastlies to take care of. Well house and yard. So my days pass swiftly. I should have been up moving a rug.…

Oh thank you Alexandra. I mostly hope my post helps the OP. I am really doing ok. We had a great 31 years. Lots of good memories.

Well I know way more about pancreas cancer than I ever wanted to know. Hubby was diagnosed in January 2013 . We were able to keep him alive for almost four years using a lot of alternatives and he also did chemo and had the whipple. Message me on some information. The chemo nurses and even his oncologist called him the…

I discovered why I was having such a hard time eating the day I posted here. I turned up flue like sick the next day. Doing ok or much better now but dropped four pounds almost over night. I actually hope it comes back as it usually does. I am way thin enough. Words I never thought I would hear coming out of my mouth. Even…

I am so boring I some times do not even want to eat and this is a little too far off the other side. Sigh. I just came in to report on another thread from awhile ago and saw this. I would say do not do as I say or do. My usual day is one chicken thigh with skin for breakfast usually about 11AM. Two chicken thighs for…

I have been in maintenance for a year and 4 months. I quit weighing measuring my foods and added in some low carb veggies. Gained 10 pounds or so. Seemed odd as the fit of my clothes did not seem to change. I was not constantly weighing myself either so not exactly where or when the 10+ came on. Went to Doc end of May for…

5'5" 68 YO Female SW 230 in 2014 I do not really remember the progression of loss over the years. About 5 pounds a month but not always. End of March 2016 I was at GW Gained 10 back and lost it again since. CW 139.4 GW 140

And I have watched it and it is great. Thank you so much! I need to figure how to get just the link to it and not through My Fitness Pal so I can send it to my doc. I can not force him to watch it ad he might not believe it. But I sure can send it. Thank you so much. This is amazing and I am feeling pretty relieved knowing…

The lipid test was done May 31st so no other testing since. I have not even seen the doc since. I will see him Early September for my yearly. I lost the solid 80 pounds by August 2016 then dropped another 10 when my hubby died. I saw doc late August 2016 :'( But I gained it back. When I went to the doc in May he was miffed…

OK I have to admit I read this post only to punish myself. LOL I am one of those that can not do sardines or raw oysters. I will stick with my cheese burger or eggs.

Sorry my numbers were: 319. Total 112. Triglycerides 83. HDL 22.4. VLDL 211. LDL Not sure if this matters but for comparison. I had lost 80 pounds by 2016 when this test was taken because I had gained 10 of the 90 I originally lost. My bad. I am 68 Female.

OH NO way I never liked potato chips. Now that kettle corn also mentioned was my down fall when I first quit smoking years and years ago.

Congratulations. You are doing amazing and to hang in there when the scale does not seem to budge is so rewarding because eventually it happens. What you described was the same for me only I was even slower to lose the first 10 pounds. Over the 1 1/2 years I averaged 5 pounds a month which seems so painfully slow but…

Great I will look for it. I never looked back either. That family is long gone now. HAHAHAH Last woman standing wins. That would be me.

Karlottap you are looking amazing. Been awhile since I have been here. Thanks for the information. Doc told me I was possibly pre diabetic before I started losing the weight and it runs in my family. Half siblings all have it and their father did too and my birth father also had it. But none of them eat right. Way too much…

Well I see VLDL is also an important number. Mine started out as unable to calculate because triglycerides were over 400. :'( This was 2014 my first blood test by this DR and before that I had no insurance so did not go to a doctor for about 15 years ever. So starting 2014 unable to read down to 22.4. And Nvmomketo. I was…

Welcome back. I will say I also gained 10 of the 90 I lost back only I was still being good with my foods. I just dared to add in some veggies which for me does not work. And now I know for sure it does not work. I dumped the veggies as soon as I found out I was 10 pounds up and weight gone in 5 weeks. I have to stay VLC…

Thank you nvmomketo, I will see if I can find those books I do like to read when I get time. I might even have one of them. I need to go look. The last couple of years has left me a bit fuzzy brained myself just trying to keep it all going. That is horrible your doc put your wife on statins causing her more issues. And my…

Rac I put in my profile the year I graduated from high school as my birth year because I left home the very next day and never went back. It was not a good place to be. I feel it was then I was finally born to be me.So I am actually 68 now. Well I will be in a few weeks. Thanks for the hugs and right back at you. I am…

You sound pretty amazing to me. Sorry for the loss of your husband. You still had the strength to save your home and now you are even sprucing it up. Totally awesome. [/quote] Retirehappy Thank you on condolences I am doing ok. And thank you but not really that awesome just determined. But not bad for an old fart. And yes…

Thank you so much for your answers here. The test was about one year after I lost the 90 but gained back the 10. Now I am down the 10 again with no troubles doing so just stopped the veggies. Thinking maybe a year is not totally long enough for my body to clear the bad boys. Triglycerides started at 417 s lets say I have…
