  • I have a lot of small restaurants in my area and it is really a crapshoot on calories. I try to find a decently representative entry and go with it. But some of them are poor no way 3 oz of pork only has 9 g of protein. Etc.
  • I want one but I don't like the price.
  • I will tell you the limited number of studies on hypnotherapy find it to be the most effective method by a long shot. I quit 4 years ago and I did literally everything I had this mini self hypnosis app, used patches, homeopathics, and cut up fake straws I would breath through. I know some people have had success with…
  • I see blue and black
  • Wow. Thank you! It really is hard to find balance but I am trying. Yeah I am fortunate to have a great therapist I've seen for eight years but I only see him about once a month. He was actually the one who said I might be gaining weight and should look into it. Although he said I should see a nutritionist, I'm stubborn. I…
  • Wow I'm sorry! It seems like you have worked very hard and it still wasn't enough. I don't know about how many carbs you should eat and you definitely should discuss with your doctor, but maybe you should look into checking your blood sugar. From what I understand too low of blood sugar is another serious risk with…
  • I've been wondering about legs a lot lately too. I have started doing my leg lifts a few times a day again. I will see how that helps. There are some good examples on Pinterest.

  • I think a lot of people are dehydrated. Until you get in the habit of drinking a lot, you just don't know it. One reason. I never drank water as a kid. Now I drink a ton and crave it. Also my fiancé rarely drinks water because he doesn't think of it. His pee is dark yellow and smells terrible so I'm pretty sure he is…
  • Yeah no idea why but I seriously only lost half a pound in my first 2-3 weeks. Now I'm starting to lose. I think the starting exercising etc makes a difference. Don't give up!
  • Yes you actually need almost 200% iron if none of it comes from animal sources. Cereal is good and take a vitamin. And eating it with vitamin c helps. Eating it with calcium actually hurts because calcium competes with non heme iron for absorption. Also if you are vegan or plan to become one you must supplement b12 as it…
  • Moving this up so I don't start my own post I just lost a few pounds and my calories increased by about 50 a day. Why would that be? I heard they often go down as you lose weight.
  • Interesting. Well I hope someone on here who is more well versed in the science will comment. I hate when Google fails me lol.
  • I have bruises all the time I don't know where they came from. It isn't necessarily related.
  • Haha! Do you do machines or free weights?
  • I had cellulite even when I was underweight. I have more now, but it is mostly genetic.
  • Congrats to everyone. Can't wait til I can write a status like this! But I am enjoying my small accomplishments.
  • I'm 5'7.5" Think I'm aiming for about 145. I used to stay between 135 and 140. So not sure, but I don't want to go too low.
  • Thanks! I'm still going to continue to work on consistency but it's good to know I don't have to be perfect and can still see results. Because this is more of a lifestyle thing for me. I'd like to lose 10-20 pounds. But I mostly want to be healthy and prepared to keep that up. I'm hoping to get pregnant in about 2 years.…
  • Good luck. I'm pretty new too. Although I know a lot about nutrition. I'm trying to do this healthily for once!
  • I had the same issue. I'm just adding everything separately now. It gives you the foods eaten together option which is still pretty easy. Maybe someone else has more insight?
  • I don't know if you eat dairy. From eggatarian it seems not. I've been vegetarian before and some of my staple meals are vegetarian. Spaghetti with "meat" sauce. I cook boca crumbles into sausage then add tomatoes and sauce, mexican soup using trader joes soy chorizo. And my favorite lunch. Beans Refried beans with cheese…
  • Well you could put certain dry on them at night. I saw a review that someone's doctor told them to do that.
  • Well I've been looking into this a lot lately. Apparently capsaicin causes a small increase in metabolism but it hasn't been proven to be enough to cause weight loss. Some more recent studies though have found capsaicin increases saitity and when people eat it they tend to consume less. I eat a ton of spicy food but not…
  • My favorite gummy vitamins smarty pants have 50 calories. But I agree the actual vitamin doesn't have calories. However many vitamin pills do which in my opinion is what the op meant.
  • Some gummy vitamins have significant calories. Also omega 3 supplements are fat so they obviously have calories. They should have a label. If it doesn't list calories then it is likely a negligible amount.
  • Yes it is good saturated fat. Which tends to confuse people. Coconut oil is also one of the best oils to fry in because it is stable at high temps and doesn't break down into trans fats. Other good frying fats are butter and lard. But coconut oil is better for you nutritionally. And tastes good.
  • Have you noticed issues with this? I created a recipe then when I select it it reduces the calories to like a third. I'm just adding separately at this point
