I love tuna but I don't really like fresh fish so I eat a bunch of canned tuna. I recommend finding something you can eat. Like shrimp. But there are non meat sources of omega 3s like flax. Or even take a supplement.

Seriously I eat Mexican most days. But I hear you about the chips. They are my downfall always. I try to find things I like slightly less. Such as pretzels with cheese. Or a baked potato with hot sauce.
-
Just found this great salad bar where I work. So fresh. Only meat is tuna and chicken salad but I love tuna.

Do any other people seem to notice fluctuations in resting heart rate? I have a Fitbit and it will start going down to shoot back up over a few weeks. I've been from a 66 to a 75.
-
Good points. Unfortunately I'm super busy his time of year so my exercise is not great. I should try to do some on the weekends. Hopefully I'll find a way soon to get some in.

I think the problem is many of them are dangerous and people don't always realize it as they are not regulated by the Fda. Why do they have jaundice warnings?? A healthy diet is much safer. And does work. People can do suppliments but they should be adequately informed. And why take the risk if you don't need to

Yeah reading this it looks like you've been stalled for a week. That isn't even enough to call a plateau. Just up your calories and take your time.
-
Anyone else struggling with body image?

I'm pretty cheap. I eat a lot of frozen veggies. Also buy cheap Chen and skimp so I can make stir fries whenever. Also lots of beans onions jalapeños. Jarred salsa you could make your own but it is cheaper and tastes better to me. I don't like eggs but they are a good cheap protein. Even cereal is usually a pretty good…

I first sw changes in appearance and the scale around 3 weeks. Working out helps for the appearance changes.
-
There are so many ranges. The thing is my goal is about 145. I maintained from 135-140 for a few years around 20. I'm currently 160. I feel like I always look good at so many sizes but I had an eating disorder so it is so hard to tell. Also I'm 5'7.5" if that makes a difference.
-
Yeah I do too. I love beans. I think if you aren't having any issues. Then more is better generally.
-
Haha. I hear you on the in love part. That's how I gained my weight. About 25 pounds in six months and then I maintained for about a year before finally deciding to do something about it. I think you need to learn how to maintain. I know I need to work on it too. Good luck.

You often have to repeat things a lot with men. Mention it next time he interrupts you or does something else that bothers you. And keep saying it until it gets through.
-
So if these amounts are accurate. Then 25 of the 26 pounds you lost was fat. I'd say that is pretty good! And better than most. I think your trainer just didn't run the math.
-
Oooh maths. 83 grams for a third cup. 1/2c= 125 then 1 c is 250. Divided by 3 equals 83.33 grams per third cup. Since the third is approximate you should test this for accuracy. Weigh all then drain and see the difference. Or use cups. This is corn after all

Ugh. That's the worst. I always failed at night shift. It seemed no matter how many healthy foods I brought lol. I suggest lots of coffee.
-
Do you like sugar snap peas?
-
Good points. I probably should keep it as is for now and work harder at tracking on the weekends.
-
I didn't read all the responses. But my thought is you lose muscle and bone as you age, so what replaces it.
-
Well that definitely can be disappointing. A couple things to consider. If you started working out too. You could be retaining water in your muscles. Also maybe your starting weight happened to be on a low day. This did happen to me. I weighed 167 then 2-3 days later was about 170 but I didn't record it. If you did weigh…

I didn't see your post, but I had a couple of similar issues. I have too been trying to be positive and not judge others. I really like these forums and had personally been very concerned I would be kicked out. I think it's important to learn from your mistakes and see things from another perspective.
-
Wow I would see 7 am as way too early. I would say between 9 am and 9 pm is appropriate lol. But that is ridiculous anyway.
-
Someone recently told me steps for sedentary are under 5k. But that doesn't seem to be how it calculates for me. Congrats though. Seems what you are doing is working for now at least!
-
What a great response. More insightful than I could have been. I wanted to say something similar but don't have the life experience. Op good luck. It does seem like this is for the best.
-
Not me. But soon hopefully. It sounds like you are being hard on yourself. You are doing pretty well.
-
Well last time I lost was unintentionally from GERD. but you still have to eat less. You could try an elimination diet.
-
For food, my suggestion would be to focus on protein fiber fruit and veggies. And dairy of you eat it. And exercise find something you like and meet the heart association recommendations.
-
I take flinstones. Omega 3s are good to take too. But they're weird.
-
Yeah there is a group for this! I don't think I can invite you though. I'm not currently ttc but probably in the next year or so. I've read ideal bmi for conception is 20-25. So I'm aiming for about 23.
